I’ve been using the Tapo Wi-Fi Smart Plug for a few weeks now, and I’m really impressed with how easy it is to integrate into my home. The setup was quick and simple, and I was able to get everything connected to the Tapo app in no time. The app itself is user-friendly, allowing me to manage devices remotely, set up automated schedules, and even use timers to control when devices turn on or off.The device-sharing feature is fantastic for my household, as it allows my family to control the plugs as well. I love the Away Mode, which is ideal for security when we’re out of the house, as it randomly turns devices on and off to give the impression that someone’s home. You know when you buy something and wonder how you ever managed without it? I have 4 sets of fairy lights in the lounge/family room and kitchen (yep my husband thinks it’s too much too but whatever!) until now I have had to switch them all on and off separately. Now not only can I control them all at once via my phone but I can also say ‘Alexa turn on/off fairy lights’ and poof, it’s done. It’s like magic. The app is simple and works well. The plugs are small, sturdy and well made and great value for money. I will be purchasing more. Very very happy with this purchase.

My whole home is full of smart plugs and I bought these to replace an old Kasa plug that mysteriously went pop a couple of nights ago.These are much smaller than the Kasa plugs and that’s great because they don’t block up the socket next to the one you’re using.They feel as if they’re solidly built and would stand up to a little rough handling. They work well enough and are straightforward to use. I’ve got one of them set up to turn my bedside light on and off. I tell Alexa that I’m going to bed and she runs a routine turning off all the sockets and lights, and turns on my bedside light.As usual, these things cost pennies to run as they don’t use much energy themselves. It’s nice to be able to monitor how much energy I’m using too.I like Bolo’s new thing of setting them up for you before they’re shipped with your WiFi password and stuff. One of them paired immediately but one took a little more effort and required a restart.Some people might worry about privacy with Bolo having this facility but personally I don’t care if they know I’ve switched my bedside lamp on.The packaging is better too. Plastic is kept to a minimum and the cardboard can recycle nicely.I’ve knocked off a star because the setup on one of them required a second go. I’m being overly harsh about that I suppose, but I’m a bit of a fan of technology and don’t normally have any issues with it.

These Tapo smart plugs are fantastic! Setup was a breeze using the Tapo app, and they work flawlessly with both Alexa and Google Assistant. The scheduling feature is super handy, I’ve set mine to turn lamps on in the evening.Connection has been solid, and there’s no noticeable delay when switching devices on or off remotely. They’re compact too, so they don’t block other sockets. Great value for a two-pack. Highly recommend.

My kids’ minds were blown when I renamed Alexa to “Ghost” and asked to turn off the lights. Worth it just for that.

Quality product unlike other generic types

This is a branded product that should last much longer than other cheaper generic types, I used the generic types and they lasted for approximately 9 months, I am writing this review after testing these for 6 months with no issues.

Compact unit and easy to set up. I have TPLink Kasa plugs and this is smaller and cheaper. However no 5 stars for Tapo because it has a separate app so now i need both Kasa and Tapo apps. But all works well with Alexa so not a huge problem once set up and linked to Bolo Alexa app
