Super gorgeous coffee machine. Works very well, you receive a stamper too. Great price for the quality. Great for beginners or those who want the coffee - However the milk frother is frothed but not for art.

4.0 out of 5 stars Almost perfect and great value

I have now had an opportunity to test out this nice compact machine. it looks nice in black and silver and doesn’t take up much space on the kitchen work surface. For the people who don’t like to read the whole review I’ll say here to save you reading further , I give this 4.5 stars.Using the larger portafilter with illy ground beans it works flawlessly. A nice ‘rats tail’ like stream of coffee slowly dribbles itself into the mug.Using the smaller portafilter with ESE 44mm coffee pods (as advised in the manual) it’s not quite such a smooth process, a mixture of ‘rats tails’ at first and then the coffee drips and plops into the mug but by the time my milk frother has made nice peaks of creamy milk, the mug has about 4oz of coffee in it.Ido not use the frothing wand, or faffing wand, as my wife calls them. They are hit and miss at best and they take a lot of cleaning and care to look after them. I use a stand alone milk frother. To use the Delonghi machine is very straight forward with just a few steps, especially if you do not use the wand.Turn it on, wait for the green light, twist in the portafilter, turn control knob to the right. easy! The cup warmer is a bonus and it does get quite hot. Using the cup warmer and heated frothed milk I find the temperature of a completed mug of coffee just right. Using cold milk it’s only just lukewarm. The machine is quite light so I put it in a rubber pad which helps when securing the portafilter. If using ESE pods with the machine worked as flawlessly as using ground coffee I would give 5 stars but it just looses out because of this.I will try using other brand pods just to see what happens. If there is an improvement I will update this review.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little purchase - reasonable price and no complaints

Excellent value for money and works well. You need to get used to knowing which heads to use for loose coffee grounds versus ESE pods but once you do it works very well. The heads are easy to change and can be kept in the little compartment next to the water reservoir. The water reservoir is easy to refill. The drip tray needs to be kept clean but is dishwasher proof if needed. The noise level is reasonable and not a major nuisance. The water drips through at a reasonable rate and creates a good coffee if used with good grounds or pods. I bought a set of four espresso cups which rounded off the purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best basic compact coffee machine for frothy coffee!

    T. · 8 February 2023

After working in hospitality serving frothy coffees and enjoying making them, I thought it was time I owned my very own coffee machine to make special frothy coffees at home! After a lot of researching to find the best basic coffee machine that fulfilled my needs, this one ticked all the boxes! It's neat, compact and easy to use. It comes with instructions and shows diagrams of how to set it up for the first time and takes minutes to clean too! It makes perfect frothy coffees and only takes about 5 minutes to wait to use the machine too! It makes one coffee in a decent size mug or two mini mugs at the same time. The only downside with this coffee machine is that a big mug won't fit on top of the drip tray when attaching the portafilter to the machine but you can easily remove the drip tray so not a problem. And the drip tray does come apart into layers so it's one less thing to wipe after using anyway. I have made teas and hot chocolates too using the steam wand, after finding out you can when reading the booklet, but the water has a plastic aftertaste so I make teas and hot chocolates using the kettle instead. Having the steam wand is the main reason for buying this particular machine to get frothy milk which as you can see in the photos has excellent results! It's great to add frothy milk to hot chocolates, chai teas to make chai lattes and for frothy coffee of course! If you are looking for a nice looking coffee machine that fits in your kitchen, creates special frothy coffees easily, then look no further! I have tried lavazza ground coffee for this machine. It's ok but found it's quite bitter, so won't need much coffee ground in one scoop. I would definitely recommend you buy this machine if you want that barista experience! All my family and friends love it! Now I enjoy making coffee in the morning :D I hope that De'Longhi continue to make such reliable coffee machines!

    Tolle einfache Espresso Maschine

    Pretty good

    A. · 28 November 2023

The first shipment I received was opened, so I asked for a replacement. I like the machine. My parents 20 year old machine broke and they wanted a replacement, and this one is very similar to their old one. I really like the removable tank. I also like how small it is. For whatever reason, the dimensions aren't written here, but my father was able to find them on the company website.
