People disappearing, strange creatures walking the strèts and hostile police forces form the core of the story. Well written, with Otto and the Wolfman as the main characters, a very good supporting cast and a gripping storyline, this is a series for fans of Jim Butcher and Eric Asher. Deft touches in the interplay between the Otto and the Wolfman with just the right amount of snark make this very readable and thus highly recommended.

Well! That was different - but then again maybe not. What is was, was a fantastic read, very enjoyable. I loved all the characters and it was a page turner as I needed to know what happened next. Looking forward to book 2

It's a good fantasy boom with lots of wizards stuff, the werewolf is funny. The descriptions go on a bit to much for my liking, it's good to paint a picture with words but not to each minute detail.Those like me,that have come here in a search for a terry pratchet esc book will be sadly disappointed, Steven Huggs (although a good author) is no Terry Pratchet, no matter what the marketing machine would have you believe. It's a decent holiday read boom but I came in search of a Terry Pratchet type story and this just isn't.

The werewolf was an excellent character, and so was the wizard. The plot was interesting and I found I had to keep reading because I really wanted to know how the story ended. The book leads the reader into the next in the series, and I really want to know what happens to the werewolf, after he walks away, naked in the snow :(

It's three am and I just finished the book with my eyes crossing, that's a good story! Can't wait to start the next one but I need some sleep. I recommend this as I was giving up on finding another good read but this qualifies.

The storyline and the hero was pretty good, but the foreshadowing was a bit heavy handed. I liked the werewolf chart and his irreverent attitude.. I am curious enough that I am want to read the second book. Overall it is a decent read and has a bit of a different spin on Urban Fantasy.
