In addition, the instructions stated that this item can be assembled in 6 1/2 hours? Wrong, that statement was probably meant for a family of 4 doing it together, I am just one person, it took me almost 5 days to assemble, just thought I would mention that, otherwise, a good price for such a prestigious building.

Very accurate cut-outs, easy to remove. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow. I made it with my 8 year old granddaughter, and she loved it. I don't think she could have done it on her own, not because of following the instructions, but manipulating the tabs into some of the slots. The completed castle was very impressive, the details are very accurate. Only 2 things I would mark it down on. The pieces for the rock cliffs are not easy to fit, and I never got them to fit perfectly. The second is that one of the parts (156, a footbridge walking surface) has the part number on then upper side, so visible when completed.

This was purchased as a Christmas gift for my partner which we built together. It took us about 3 1/2 hours to complete and does look pretty great when fully assembled. However compared to some of the other models we have made it doesn’t fit together as well. Some elements were difficult to fathom how to assemble despite multiple reading of the instructions. Also the order in which it is meant to be assembled doesn’t necessarily make it easy, as when you’re adding the base last or the rocks around the castle exterior it causes other parts to pop out of place or dissemble. In the end we took bits apart and built from the bottom up which made it easier and prevented turrets falling off all the time, but there were still bits of it that didn’t fully secure in place or came apart when we moved it to the shelf. It doesn’t bother us though as once it’s sat on the shelf you can’t see where it’s not 100% clicked in and it does replicate the castle well and was fun to build together.

Great fun.Easy instructions.Looks amazing.Just enjoy, you will.Only suggestion to manufacturers. Tabs for swing bridge should be longer for when joining section a to b it took ages and the addional mountain slope add on pieces I'm patient but oh dear they are a pain for the tabs and angles. A re think required.

Great challenge requiring dexterity, concentration and determination but produces a fine model which I will use on my Hogwarts Express layout

Absolutely amazing! Very fiddly so wouldn't recommend it for children. Ive been collecting the 3D jigsaws as part of my new year resolution to have a new hobby and its going brilliantly. Slowly building my own harry potter world. Took me 5 hours with a few 5 to 10 minute breaks
