My first straight razor and strop were given to me in 1958, even then they were not new, but I'm still using them, nearly 70 years later. I've just discovered, on-line, modern straight razors with replaceable blades so I thought I'd give one a try, choosing the Markhor for its wooden handle. It comes with a nicely designed pouch and a leaflet with clear instructions (photo-illustrations) on how to fit the blade. I chose Derby Premium blades for starters and am very impressed with the closeness of the shave. The immediate feel of the razor was that I had total control over it but I had to smile at the final words in the instructions "Shave with Caution". I am now looking forward to finding-out how many times each blade continues to provide a good shave. Overall - very pleased with my purchase.

The product itself is not bad, it looks great, feels durable and comes with a leather pouch. The only thing that i am disappointed in is that there are no razors included. The description states that this is a double edge cut throat razor, so i decided to order double edge razors which sadly do not fit.

Really nicely made, feels like high quality materials have been used.Very easy to use, much shallower learning curve than a true straight razor, just about the right size as well, not so large as to be unweildy, but not so small your hands get in the way.Case is nice too, good fit so the razor doesn't slip out.

To start, if we are talking about minimal, effective and quality packaging, then this hits the nail on the head. The way in which the pouch is made to fit around the product means that there is no risk of it falling out, to also add, the stitching has been completed to a high quality.The blade itself, has a lovely weight to it and feel comfortable and ergonomic to hold. The overall quality is exceptional and great value for money.11 out of 10

This is a nice looking cut throat razor along with its case.It works well but has a few flaws and the experience with the seller made me lower the rating:- When you close the razor all the way, it pushes the blade lock (that golden part) back because of the curvature of the razor handle, allowing the blade to move. Picture 3 shows how the lock should be all the time (= properly closed and locking/securing the blade in) and pictures 4 and 5 show how the lock is once you've closed the razor all the way (= not locking/securing the blade in).- The lock system is not tight enough and the blade tends to move. This is potentially dangerous if you don't pay attention as you will end up cutting yourself since the blade is not perfectly locked and aligned at times.- I had purchased a second one that I ended up having to return but the seller played dead and never answered. Thankfully Bolo, as usual with its amazing customer service, took over and solved the issue.Overall, I think it's better looking than it is practical. At this point, Markhor should focus more on the usability rather than the look alone.

Item arrived on time. The item looks exactly as described and seller taken care for package as it came with nicely packed. The razer made with good quality material which looks expensive. good prize for the item. in addition it came with a nice lather case
