    • Activated Carbon - Granulated Carbon Filter Media For use in aquariums, fish tanks, ponds, internal filters, external filters and sumps. We sell small stone granulated carbon filter media which has a larger surface area that traditional pelleted products and therefore greater effectiveness. What is Activated Carbon? Activated Carbon is a form of carbon that has been produced with extremely high micro porosity. Carbon is good at binding to most elements and molecules which means that when fluids are passed through it or over it, contaminates or pollutants contained within the water will be caught by the carbon reducing improving the purity of the water. One gram of Activated Carbon has a surface area of between 1500m2/g to 3000m2/g. How to use Activated Carbon? Activated Carbon is most commonly used to filter water used in ponds and aquariums. It should be added to a media bag or holder which is placed in direct contact with the water. The water should then be passed through it continuously until the water it contaminate and pollutant free. We recommend flushing the activated carbon with fresh water before using. Activated Carbon can be used in internal and external filter bags or containers. It's suitable for fresh or marine water aquariums or ponds.

    Very disappointed in this product, bought for my aquarium filter, but it's more dust than carbon!!By the time I rinsed it through, there was practically nothing left. Not sure if this was a faulty batch, but better to buy larger lumps for ease of use.

    Utilisé pour des terrarium, fait son function, on lo utilisé aussi pour la litière du chat, et ça cache les oddeurs

    Je suis un peu déçu mais c'est de ma faute. Les grains sont trop petit pour mettre sur un moustiquaire dans un terrarium. J'ai été obligé de mettre deux couche deux moustiquaire. De plus il y s'en dégage beaucoup de poussière noir je ne sais pas si c'est recommandable pour un aquarium !! Je me doute que lorsque je devrai refaire mes terrarium le fond sera tout noir et ne partira certainement pas. Pour terrarium je ne le vous conseille pas. Pour un aquarium seul les connaisseurs sauront le dire !
