Excellent chest, lovely wood effect. Easy to assemble, instructions are clear and simple, each part is numbered. You can’t go wrong assembling so long as you check you have the parts the right way round by following the detail on the instructions. Hinges fitted well and lid closes properly. Chest has good storage space, it’s a good size, not too big. It’s easy to move with handles, solid but not too heavy. Looks sturdy and good value.

I've not got much experience with particleboard/mdf type furniture (these have some sort of finish to look like wood grain) but I needed something swiftly and these aren't a bad buy.I bought two in rustic brown and at £71.99 each I think they're a bit pricey in comparison to other colours offered (10-20 quid more) They are sturdy and good for bedding/blanket storage and they don't look too out of place against other old dark wood in the room. They're a bit shinier and more pristine but I just wanted them to be a similar colour and they more or less are.They arrived very well packaged and they're easy to put together. Using an allen key attachment on an electric screwdriver made it a quick job.Two of them fit well at the bottom of a king-size bed and can be sat on without you feeling they're going to collapse. The middle of the front/side panels are thinner but that doesn't seem to affect the sturdiness.I would have liked the top to open fully but it only goes up so far so you just have to make sure you squat down to open rather than bend down from standing so you don't smack your forehead on it if you're in any way accident prone like me.Overall I recommend them as a decent looking, sturdy storage option.I added some pictures, mostly taken just after I assembled them one evening so it was dark with overhead light on (not the brightest!) Last one was in daylight so you can see the colour, they sit just opposite a window.I'll report back if my opinion changes :)UPDATE: I thought I'd add an update about wear and tear 20 months on. The isn't any. Literally they still look the same as the day I assembled them, still solid, unmarked, hinges work perfectly and there is no fading of colour considering they are in the sun daily. I have to say I'm impressed as they've been fully loaded all that time too with heavy bedding, had plants stood on them, me sitting on them and the occasional dog using them as a springboard to get to the window from the bed.They were an excellent buy.

I liked the fact.once assembled it is very sturdy and has good storage capacity. I chose to buy this item as.all the.old antique and vintage chest seem to smell of moth balls! I like the hinge that keeps the lid up safely whilst.in use.I would have liked a clearer numbering system on the pieces and perhaps a label to indicate what should be.inner or outer facing to aid assembly as I put the back panel the wrong way around so had to do a reassemble job! This could just be me though because I only have limited use of.one eye but still managed to assemble it. My only other gripe is the side handles should be bigger for this larger chest. In all I am very pleased and I would recommend it.

This is great storage. The quality is good and it's very sturdy and is able to hold alot and it has a great appearance. I managed to get it on sale but wouldn't have minded paying full price as it's definitely a great buy.

We bought this as a boot box for our front porch, and the 76cm version is a perfect fit for the space available.The instructions were clear and most of the main assembly is pretty simple using self-tapping allen-key headed screws (a suitable wrench was provided).Fitting the handles, hinges and strut requires a star-head screwdriver for the small screws provided. As others have mentioned, partially engaging these smaller screws and then disassembling makes installing the hinges and strut much easier.The final product appears to be robust, and keeps shoes and boots out of the way. It has also received our cat's seal of approval as the lid is now a favourite sleeping spot.

I like the chest, it looks good, is quite sturdy and relatively easy to assemble.I have assembled many different storage units and overall this one was one was fairly easy but with a couple of notes:1/ They provide an allen key for the large screws to attach the sides and base. The allen key does the job but can be a bit fiddly to use, a proper screwdriver would have made it easier (I used a ratchet screwdriver with an allen key head attachment).2/ It can be assembled by one person, but attaching the lid is much easier with two people.

Ottima cassapanca della Hoobro ,semplice da montare,bellina esteticamente, robusta e giusta nelle misure per chi dispone di spazi limitati: io l'ho messa in un angolo di un salottino con mobili bianchi senza sfigurare e da usare come piccolo ripostiglio per scorta bottiglie di acqua minerale (ce ne stanno circa 24):quindi nel piccolo e' abbastanza capiente e robusta.Tutto ok e Grazie Bolo
Would recommend it for light item storage
Nice storage box. Easy to assemble except for the lid it required 2-3 people to attach it properly. The material is not the strongest but I love the finished look of it and the lid hinges are very good quality.
