Although they worked the holes were quite big on even the smallest one and the wax comes out too quickly to control especially if you want fine lines . Also the shape being elongated means you need a deep melting pot and lots of wax to fill the holes at the top.

Great tool/set, apart from you need a deep pot to actually get the wax inside due to the hole being half way up the handle… which is t handy… we ended up using brushes works better

As someone who uses a variety of tjantings for batik, these were a welcome addition to the set. What I would say is the wax pours a lot faster and in greater volumes from these tjantings than any other I have used or encountered. Fine if you are covering or filling large areas with wax, but I can’t seem to get to grips with any detail work with any of the tjantings this shape and style. I do a lot of crackle backgrounds which need large covering areas and these are perfect for that. I use my others for fine detail work.
