It has a smooth, clean taste with no bitterness, which makes it perfect for daily lattes. I usually mix it with oat milk and a bit of low-calorie maple syrup, and it turns out great every time — hot or iced. The colour is vibrant, and you can tell it’s high quality. Yes, it’s a little on the expensive side, but honestly, a small amount goes a long way, so it lasts quite a while. If you’re looking to make café-style matcha drinks at home, this is definitely worth it.
5.0 out of 5 stars Worth the price for ceremonial grade matcha
Tastes good to me, maybe if you are a matcha obsessive you'll find otherwise, but its plenty good enough for me, especially given the price for a ceremonial grade matcha. It is less green than you might want, and maybe that's an indicator of slightly worse quality, but I haven't found that, and think the quality is sufficient
4.0 out of 5 stars Legit Matcha
Finally a Ceremonial grade matcha that is not only real but good priced and quality, I might of taken a star off because I tried to order 2 one is for a gift and its limited to 1pc lol I can see why its good price and its the real stuff, not like so many fake brands on the market, I may have had better matcha some years back but the difference in taste between that and this is almost negligible I really couldn't tell the difference between this one and a better one, but I can tell the difference between a bad matcha and a good matcha and this one is the good one decent price decent size 50g well worth it.Hope the company can keep this up for years in the future as I will definitely return if this price stays the same was only 8-9 quid for 50g I'm impressed its also sweeter that means its animo content of L-Theanine the richer this amino is in the matcha the sweeter it is and ceremonial grade is always high in this amino thus why I know this is the real stuff. If its not you didn't get the right batch or a bad batch, I tested this out with another brand that stated it was ceremonial grade but it wasn't that other stuff made me vomit dizziness and the feeling of nausea if you get these symptoms it means the matcha was a bad batch will taste really bitter may or may not look dull green, usually its brighter vibrant green that makes the best matcha and it should smell fresh like a forest, remember ceremonial grade will always be sweet/ little bitter taste and some even sweeter.Learn the 4 signs if its good matcha, usually its this to tell if its a good batch.1: The colour is Vibrant bright Green not a dull green or dark green colour2: It doesn't make you want to spit it out vomit dizziness or the feeling of nausea feeling sick.3: It should be on the sweeter side mellow and soft subtle sweetness that doesn't make you want to spit it out4: Check the smell as well it should smell fresh like a fresh green leaf in a dense fresh forest its that kinda nature fresh type smell. If it passes these tests then its definitely a good batch, but only Ceremonial grade is the sweeter one. I learned this all from research online and buying many different brand of matcha. Culinary matcha will always come in larger quantities for cooking but will most likely also be very bitter, it may or may not make you want to vomit but that vomit feeling most likely due to being a bad batch. EDIT: sometimes it's pesticides that can or rather will cause a bad batch, China usually use Pesticides so the best matcha is from Japan.
5.0 out of 5 stars Matcha
I ordered the 50g as it was my first time trying this, it comes in a sealed bag/packet inside a small tin with screw off lid. I transferred mine from packet to tin easily enough but this can be tricky for some. I have nothing to compare it to, I just wanted to try Matcha and the health benefits are a bonus! I’ve tried it twice now - hot which wasn’t great and cold which was better IMO. I dissolved 1tsp matcha in a small amount of hot water (15-20ml) along with 1tsp brown sugar and blitzed that using my handheld frother, which seemed to help smooth out the texture, I then poured that mixture over ice and topped with Batista oat milk. The tea flavour really comes through for me and although I’m not used to drinking cold tea it’s not bad at all. I would happily drink this daily, And the green colour is an added quirk 🤗I think it smells a bit like seaweed though 🤷♀️My partner tried the hot milk version and didn’t like it, said it tastes like fish 🤣🤣It seems to be good quality but I’m not clued up on matcha - so far so good. I would order again 🙂
5.0 out of 5 stars Good matcha
So Ive been eyeing this matcha for a while now and bought it because someone compared it to Pure Chimp, which is exactly what I've been using until Bolo stopped selling it. So this one (compared to Pure Chimp) is much stronger, but also more bitter. the colour is much darker. It froths much better than any other matcha i had before, but it also sinks to the bottom of the cup (haven't tried it hot yet). I usually whisk it with hot water and a bit of honey, pour it into a large cup filled 1/3 with almond milk and top up with cold water and ice cubes. Also I had no problem with opening the actual bag with matcha and moving it into the container, the trick is to cut off the corner of the bag and gently shake it into the jar.
3.0 out of 5 stars Alright
At this point "ceremonial grade" is a very inflated term. I can tell you it's not, and not as good as other's I've tried. It's alright for the price, given the big size (it will last for a couple months for sure), and it works okay for a matcha latte, but if you want matcha tea, I would not recommend it. It's slightly more bitter than others, and not as vibrant green as the pictures show.
1.0 out of 5 stars NOT ceremonial grade!!
worst matcha i tasted, bought this because of the reviews and the fact it claims to be ceremonial grade… it is NOT. in the picture, the matcha is on the left, and another ceremonial grade matcha is on the right. the colour is dull in comparison, which it shouldn’t be. the smell is bitter and the taste is SO bitter, i couldn’t make it taste normal. it is not good quality, and i wanted a refund because it claims to be something it is not but couldn’t. what a waste of money
5.0 out of 5 stars amazing matcha! good price and quality not too expensive i love it!
ten out of ten matcha! great quality and colour, tastes amazing in an iced matcha latte withsome sweetener (tastes like it just came from japan)
