Good clear instructions and easy to use.I had a recent gout attack and wanted to find out what foods were raising the amount of Uric acid in my blood and causing the issue.

The uric acid test is not accurate it throws out random numbers as you can see in the photos. All the tests were done in about 10 mins of each other. It’s not user error as I was doing glucose tests at the same time and they were all coming out very close if not the same. So to sum up the glucose test works but the uric acid does not. I would not recommend this tester for uric acid but if you are testing only glucose it would work fine

This test is very good. There are negative reviews which clearly show the user didn’t understand how to use the test. Make sure you add the blood to the side of the test trip not the bottom. I was worried about accuracy so I took a blood test immediately after a lab test. It was out by about 20 points which for a home test is not bad.My rheumatologist decided to lower the frequency of my meds as my UA was below 200. After a couple of days I decided to take a test to see what had happened and noticed my blood UA had shot up to 410 which is enough to cause a gout attack. I immediately returned to my normal frequency and will go back to see my specialist. Thank goodness I had the ability to keep an eye on things and act before it got bad.

So I bought this because my tic acid has been out of control lately. When this arrived I had trouble getting it to work until I watched an online video. The first result was 747 which was crazy. After the video found there was a calibration usb stick so did that. The next results were 589 and then 599, again high but my last blood test was in 500’s and I did have some red wine and beer the night before. About a week later (yesterday) I had a blood test and tested again immediately when I got him from it to compare (I forgot to take it with me as I was going to test it at the same time). The blood test from the hospital was 447 and 1.5 hours later after the drive home the meter was 439 (pictures attached). Close so possibly a good indicator of where you are at. I will use more but at this stage I won’t rely on it. I’ll post an update when I have my next blood test.

I am diabetic and get free glucose testing kit. I bought a Sinocare monitor with both glucose and uric acid monitoring after developing symptoms of gout and I only have to stab myself once to test both at once. I'm very happy with this product and highly recommend this kit if you need to know where you are when making changes to address the issues, this is perfect.

I am a veteran lab/chemist 20+ years, now modeller, worked with many lab instruments (just to show some merit in this review), and this kit is quite typical for lab use. Without having an actual calibration sample to test with, the next best thing I did was compare with NHS lab results, and they were within acceptable range (I measured 368umol UA, the lab was 360umol). If you read the description, results may differ by 20%, which is very typical for lab equipment, especially equipment which use test strips. Ensure you get enough blood from pricking your finger, and the test strip does a great job of taking a sample of your blood.I would recommend this to anyone who wants to monitor UA, and the glucose is useful as well, but maybe a continuous glucose monitor might be better. Set your expectations as per note above and you won't be disappointed. I've learned a lot about my body using this kit.

I bought this a few days ago, i thought as it did the uric acid i would upgrade from my basic one which just tests for blood sugar...Anyhow as you can see by the photos i posted it took that many blue strips before it decided to work once, and it took that many yellow strips and that still hasn't worked for me its stuck on 600 all the time...you might be saying oh that's your reading, well NO because if i just put a fresh stick in to test that theory it is still 600...IT DOES NOT WORK.[It does not matter whether you put the stick in before taking the blood or after you take the blood, it still says 600 for the yellow strip which is wrong] [I also waited around 5 minutes on each yellow strip to see if there was a delay, it does not work]My fingers are like pin cushions...i gave up in the end because i would use every single strip to see if it worked, which it didn't.The other model i had worked fine, also made by the same company so i know how you use these things and what you do, my 6-year-old could do it's that simple.This one seems to be broken in some way and obviously isn't working correctly, or the strips are useless...If it's faulty then i am willing to have it replaced but something is wrong because you do not use that many strips to get one working test up on the screen...So, for now, i will be going back to my original model and get a £35 refund for this thing.This is my review and if anything changes in any way such as i get a working version then i will re-review.
