My cat loves this toy like no other, he instantly perks up when he hears the bell jingle, and when he catches it he proudly struts off with his prize so he can enjoy it in peace.The great thing about this is that it’s it’s on a solid (but flexible) pole, so I can always leave this out for him without the strangulation risk you’d get with a string toy. If I’m not playing with him, he’ll sometimes sit on one end and bat the feather around on his own.I’d suggest removing the plastic “handle” and the three coloured balls that are on the pole. You really don’t need them, and you probably don’t want your cat to eat those plastic balls. The handle will fall off eventually anyway, because it’s cheap plastic. I still rate this high in durability because those parts are not what your cat is interested in! My cat was enjoying the same toy for over a year, with no handle and 80% of the feathers missing.And yes it’ll lose feathers. This isn’t a fault of the toy, your cat is trying their hardest to destroy this thing so of course they’ll eventually rip the feathers out. My guy enjoyed playing with this with just a single solitary feather (and the bell) left, but do treat them to a new one every now and again. :) Like most pet owners, I’ve spent far too much money buying every little thing I think he might like, cheap toys, expensive toys, beds, cat trees, you name it. But there’s nothing he loves as much as this cheap fishing pole toy.

I bought this for my kitten and she loves it . So much so that I have purchased another . She is a year old now and it remains her favourite toy . I have spent much more on other toys she hasnt really bothered with but this she plays with daily . She likes to carry it about and also is good for us to use to interact with her . Provides a lot of stimulation, is well made and although a feather or two may come off after a lot of play, I still feel it is sturdier and more durable than other similar toys

The wand itself is great but that's about it. The attachment lasted about 2 days. My 1 year old managed to tear apart one of the feathers and I had to stop him from eating it.. that was not fun. One or two days later another feather fell apart, now we're left with 3 feathers total so I'm already looking for a replacement. I guess for the price you can't ask too much but it'd have been nice to have a more sturdy attachment. The wand, however, does the job. It's springy which adds fun and my cat seems to love it when I shake it on the floor. So yeah, buy it but get yourself some feathers replacements cause you'll need them soon.

This is the number 1 toy that our cat never ceases to love. We have it tucked down the back of the sofa. He goes crackers with it or catches and sits with it. Can be so funny to watch. I've just bought one for a friend's cats.

I have two four and a half month old kittens. They always liked fishing rod toys but after trying many varying designs we’ve concluded that these are by far the best. The wire gives you absolute control over where you move the end rather than dragging a string. They are the right length and you can move the end along the ground or bounce the end up off the ground for jumping, unlike other string or fluffy ‘snake’ (like a feather boa) fishing rod toys which only drag on the ground. The bell signals its playtime and my two come running when they hear the bell. They love this toy so much. My boy kitten even growls when he catches the feathers lol to keep my girl back, and he runs away with the toy 😂. Luckily I always use two of the toys in action at a time so they have one each. I’ve learnt to be quite ambidextrous lol so they each run after their one. I have purchased several of these toys to replace ones worn out by losing feathers (it’s inevitable. No flaw on the maker’s part. You can buy replacement feathers anyway). Honestly, I can’t praise this toy enough. Just be careful to always supervise so the wire doesn’t run through their teeth and cause potential damage, or tugging on their claws too much but that goes for any fishing rod toy. It’s never been a problem because they always go for the feathers but it’s worth being potentially aware. Safety wise I actually think this toy has a possible advantage over other fishing rod toys because there is no string to get wrapped tight round them and cause injury. However, always supervise with fishing rod toys. Never leave them out unsupervised. In summary, basically just buy this product. Your kittens, and adult cats if they still play, will love this product.
