This Clear Texture Gesso is perfect for preparing surfaces for painting, drawing and mixed media.
Mont Marte Premium Clear Texture Gesso creates the perfect texture for acrylic and oil paints, as well as dry media such as pastels and pencils. Use it on a range of surfaces including canvas, paper, card and wood.
Directions:
Use a wide brush to apply gesso evenly to canvas, paper, card, wood and other porous surfaces. Once dry, the texture provides perfect adhesion for paints and dry media. Clean up with warm soapy water while wet.

30-60 minutes (may vary)

I use this for sketches, it can sometimes peel away from the paper when using mediums like gouache or water paint and with lots of layers and fiddly details, same with pencils it can scratch away at it, however you can fix it by just whacking another layer over and because it invisible it has no effect on your work, so I have found it really useful for sketches, it has a nice texture to it and it is great for improving the texture quality of cheaper paper I have found myself using it quite a lot for that purpose and I've still got plenty left. Though I will stress I would be reluctant to use this on any serious artwork, though you could and I might even say you'd probably be fine.

Thick, goes on white, dries completely transparent and leaves a nice toothy texture to hold paint and pastels. Works very well with acrylic paint, oil and soft pastels. The bottle is tough and leak proof. The price and quality makes this transparent gesso the best value on Bolo.

Best primer ever
The best primer i have come across... I've been frustrated with acrylic and oil paints because the paint doesn't go how i want it to go. I decided to try this primer out and it works like magic. It gives a rough texture that I cannot describe but paint will grip to it and makes life easy. It dries absolutely transparent. I would suggest couple of layers of acrylic primer and then on top use this primer as a single coat. A single coat already works great. Great to paint over sketches or acrylic paint... Mont morte is the best 🌷

I started painting by numbers and now addicted. This product is great and makes painting so much easier. Being clear can still see the numbers. Makes the canvas smooth not rough. Will be a repurchaser.
