Good strong kettle for the money. Strong plastic but very lightweight. Easy to use and boils pretty quickly. Good family sized kettle. 👍🏻

We have used the kettle for about a month and it seems pretty good and solid,it boils fairly quickly, hopefully it will last a long time

Our old electric kettle started leaking and found this Swan electric kettle at a good price and as Swan has a good name and looks good, so bought one. Its fast boiling with clear measuring markers. Very pleased with the kettle and the service.

Despite Swan being a well-known brand this kettle is a dud. There is clearly a bad connection somewhere because it takes a number of attempts to switch it on.The base stand is rather outdated compared to newer models. The elctric connection is at the rear of the kettle, below the handle, (rather than at the centre) and frequently, when you pick up the kettle the stand comes with it.The lid will not close properly without using some force. If the lid is leftonly partially closed there isadanger of scalding from escaping steam when the kettle eventually boils.As the power cord is attached to the rear of the base it limits your ability to position the base.It also claims to be rapid boil - it is actually very slow compared to our old kettle.It is simply the worst electric kettle that we have ever bought.

Reasonable value for the price (currently £14.99)Pros: Fast boil, light weight even when quite full, quietCons: cheap plasticky feel, doesn't fit very easily onto the baseThis is the replacement one I bought after the first one was faulty (intermittently wouldn't connect to the base so wouldn't boil). I liked the speed of boiling and the quiet operation so decided to try another one. I only need this temporarily in shared accommodation. I wouldn't buy one as the main kettle in my kitchen when I have my own place.

This kettle was bought as a replacement for a stainless steel kettle, this is much lighter and easier to keep clean. My only gripe is it needs a lot of water to cover the element so I find myself pouring quite a lot away after making one cup of tea, it also takes a while to boil. But for the cost and the pleasing outward design I can overlook those small things. I’m happy with my purchase.
The plug doesnt fit Australian power points should be advertised sent back
The kettle looked lovely but disappointed that the plug didn’t fit the power point didn’t need extra expense of buying an adaptor.
