We bought these primarily for birdwatching and they don't disappoint.Substantial, tough, with a really good focussing mechanism.Main thing is the image is crystal clear.Obtained them for a really good price by leaving them in my Bolo basket for about 3 months until the price reduced by about 20% and then I grabbed them.Highly recommended as they are a quality product.

I purchased these Steiner binoculars to replace my old and trusty Steiner Sky Hawks Very impressed with the new replacement but, as Steiner quotes “nothing escapes you” And what didn’t escape me was the fact that the security seal on the box had been clearly cut through. So this leaves me with the slightly worrying question; are these binoculars used or returns. If so I will be making a formal complaint as I paid for brand new binoculars, not second hand. Not impressed although the binoculars are excellent.

Il pesoè ridotto e quindi la maneggevolezza e trasporto ne guadagnano tanto La visione sbalordisce per la sua luminosità, inoltre basta per passare da un soggetto lontano ad uno vicino e averli sempre a fuoco basta girare pochi millimetri la ruota apposita. Ottima cosa che hanno gli oculari con alette protettive per la luce laterale e una borsina molto comoda ed elegante. Qualità prezzo ottima!! La marca non si smentisce e regala un prodotto molto valido

Was gar nicht hoch genug bewertet werden kann: Echter SERVICE!
Ich habe mich schwergetan bei der Suche nach einem neuen Allroundglas - und bin jetzt beim Steiner SkyHawk 4.0 8x42 gelandet und sehr zufrieden. Für alle, die noch auf der Suche sind, meine kurze Meinung:Steiner war bei mir aus einigen Gründen Favorit, kannte ich von Freunden. deutscher Hersteller, gute Infos, akzeptable Preise. Ich wollte etwas solides, aber kein echtes Highend-Glas, 500 Euro war die Schmerzgrenze. Anwendung ist bei mir nicht klar definiert, ich nehme ein Fernglas mit zum Wandern, in den Urlaub und generell, wenn ich in der Natur bin und Platz habe. Ein ganz besonders kleines Glas musste es nicht sein, ich hatte vorher schon ein anderes 8x42 und war mit der Größe zufrieden. Und ein wichtiger Punkt, den man gar nicht genug bewerten kann: Service. Siehe unten.Aber erstmal warum 8x42 (und nicht 8x32 oder 10x42?): Entweder zu lichtschwach bei schlechtem Wetter oder Dämmerung - oder zu wackelig aus der freien Hand mit zu kleinem Sichtbereich. Da ich vorher schon ein 8x42 hatte, habe ich die Alternativen verglichen aber war mit meiner ursprünglichen Wahl zufrieden. Wer zwischen 10x und 8x schwankt - der Unterschied ist nicht so riesig, aber der Sichtbereich wird kleiner und es wackelt viel mehr. Der "Gewinn" an Vergrößerung macht das nicht wett. 8x42 ist die perfekte Kombi aus Gewicht, Größe, Vergrößerung und Lichtstärke.Das Steiner SkyHawk hat mich dann überzeugt: Es fühlt sich hochwertig an, ist griffig, da Material ist solide. Mir gefallen vor allem die Augenmuscheln (oder wie man das nennt) an den Okularen unwahrscheinlich gut, das "Blickgefühl" ist viel besser als mit normalen Okulargummis. Alleine das wäre für mich immer wieder ein Kaufgrund.Die Abdeckungen sind klasse - und wer schon mal ein Eschenbach o.ä. hatte, weiß wie nervig es ist, wenn das nicht durchdacht ist. "Unten" sind hochwertige Deckel, die sauber und fest mit dem Fernglas verbunden sind. Das Öffnen ist mit einem "Fingerklick" erledigt, man könnte sie aber auch abnehmen (aber warum?). Sauber gelöst. Die Regenabdeckung für die Okulare ist ebenfalls gut gelöst: Besonders praktisch ist es, dass man die Augenmuscheln nicht einklappen muss, wenn man den Deckel aufsetzt. Und wenn man ihn abnimmt, hängt er automatisch am Trageriemen. Ebenfalls gut gelöst! DAs Glas liegt "satt" in der Hand, schöne Gummierung, praktische Griffflächen. Dazu eine praktische, passende Verpackung. Sehr hochwertig im Vergleich zu meinem Vorgänger Eschenbach.Und was ist mit der Optik? Ich bin kein Experte, aber ich schaue durch und merke, ob ich gut sehe oder nicht. Beim Vorgänger, einem Eschenbach Sektor 8x42, hatte ich immer Probleme, schwarze Ränder zu sehen, wenn die Sichtachse nicht perfekt war - und das passiert fast immer. Das Steiner ist das um Welten besser. Einfache Einstellung, tolles Rändelrad mit präziser und leichter Scharfstellung, präzise Verstellung am linken Auge, schönes und klares Bild, keine Störungen am Rand, die mir auffallen. Das Bild ist hell, gefühlt heller als ohne Glas. Und am allerbesten, wie oben schon geschrieben, sind die Sichtblenden: Perfekte Passform für meine Augenhöhlen, sie verstellen sich nicht beim Aufsetzen des Deckels, super gemacht, kein Seitenlicht, gute Augenführung. Ich bin mit der Bildqualität mehr als zufrieden, für das Geld einfach optimal.Und was mich am meisten beeindruckt hat: Ich habe beim Auspacken eine Öse für den Trageriemen entweder verbummelt oder sie hat einfach gefehlt. Was macht man da? Website, Support, Telefonnummer mit einer echten und freundlichen Dame am anderen Ende: "Gar kein Problem, schicken wir Ihnen gleich zu". In dem Moment war ich mir sicher, dass ich die richtige Wahl getroffen habe...Gute Investition mit einem sicheren Gefühl!
