Okay, i have been a fan of Nature Kitchen products for several years - ever since I was a regular customer at their physical shop in my home town of St Austell. Their spice blends have always been excellent. Smokey Bean Seasoning is my favourite spice as I use a lot of dried beans in my cooking rather than canned ones and this very mild but ultra smokey blend is the best accompaniment to put in a home-made sauce for your beans you will find. It starts subtle and grows - but not in 'true' spice heat, it is gentle and warming [add a pinch of cayenne if you want to up the heat]. and it is also an excellent 'dry rub' for flavouring up steaks for the BBQ, goes great with chicken or some fatty pork chops. Frankly when it comes to pork in particular this blend is sublime and a perfect compliment.I had no idea they were now selling on Bolo as I thought they closed down when the shop closed! Delighted to find them again after a couple of years. Natures Kitchen is THE best 'fresh spice blend' supplier going. I am going to be placing a good many orders now to rebuild a spice cupboard that became empty without this wonderful tangy 'old friend' of a proper 'spice merchant' to fill it.Smokey Bean Seasoning though is my favourite 'mild' spice blend....EVER. It's not just for beans, wonderfully versatile.HAPPY DAYS ARE HERE AGAIN!

Plenty of product for the money and the flavours is lovely, but if kick to it but not overpowering. Works nice with sea bass!

The taste is good, but it is quite salty, even in comparison to other brands of za’atar I’ve used in the past (Sainsbury’s, Mariam Pantry). If they eased up on the salt a bit and added more sumac, I think it would be more flavourful rather than just salty.

Usually fantastic flavours.,but when bought in large bag not same flavours,in the small pots excellent,have bought direct from many time before but had a split bag and no one ever replied,very disappointed

This is exactly what it claims, a good quality dried whole spice, at the weight advertised and delivered well within the timescale claimed by the seller. 'Fresh' - well as fresh as a dried spice can ever be - and fragrant. Dry enough to crush and grind in a pestle and mortar and not so 'oily' that it clogs equipment but 'oily' enough to be effectively what is claimed and suitable for home spicing. Fragrant enough and with enough volatile oil present to be used 'whole' too.I'll happily buy from this seller again.

700g tub of Pilau Rice Seasoning. All the spices except the bay leaves have been ground to a fine powder (rather than individual spices as shown in the main product image). This will enable it to be used as a rub, but, means you don't get the same variation of flavours as you would with a coarse spice mix. That said, it has a good flavour when added to rice and is excellent value for the price.
