I've always rated Sakura gel pens, but disappointed with this set.......the 08 and 10 work great, but the 05 one barely writes despite how much I've tried to get the ink flowing. Only delivered today, so it's not as though I've had them for weeks. Therefore, the set works out more expensive when one gel pen doesn't work!

Anyone who knows a thing about gel pens knows Sakura gelly roll are supreme. These stay true to that statement.I wanted to get a few sizes for adding dimension to drawings and colourings, and the opacity of them even on the smallest nib is really good.They're easy to use like most pens, the choice of sizes means you can add lots of exciting dimension to art you create. Or add details to greeting cards, etc. You can see them on white paper, but obviously they look best on black or darker backgrounds.I'm not a proper artist; it's just for fun and hobby for me but I'm sure a proper artist would also appreciate the colour and quality of these pens.

Good pens and they can lay on quite thick which I like in a gel pen. They can dry quite fast but be careful not to smear them! and wait until they’re completely dry before layering them! Only downside is that they can be quite gummy when going onto the page and the thinnest nib seems quite dry and a bit scratchy but once the ink is flowing it’s okay just not amazing.
