I have tried various heaters over the last few years for when it is not cold enough to put on the central heating but you need more warmth in a room. I have had fan heaters, oil filled radiators on castors and the wonderfully stylish Dyson heaters, and in the end, I have always come back to halogen heaters. I have had this particular one from Daewoo several times. I find it the most effective to emit strong heat which warms you instantly and I found it cost effective. The actual heater is light and easily portable from one room to another, has a very good tip over cut off protection and is considerably cheaper than an oil filled radiator or a Dyson heater. The halogen heater does also not emit any noise while in the ON position which is important to me while I'm working. However, halogen heaters do also have disadvantages: the heating elements don't usually last, and normally, one of tthe three will go after a while, but the heat that comes from the remaining two elements is still very good and strong. Another thing to consider is that you need place the heater carefully so that its front is not too close to an upholstered piece of furniture or it will cause a burn to the fabric, so I would not recommend this heater for a family with small kids or pets. But if you want an effective and cheap-to-run heater for your office space or your home, I am very happy to give it 5 stars.

I had read a few reviews which weren't graleat about this heater but gave it a go anyway as the room I want to heat is quite small. The heater turned up with the screws missing but the company sent then within a few days,so they were brilliant.This heater warms a room up very quickly. I trued it in my living room which is quite big, and it did the job so no complaints at all. For a small heater, it heats up a room very quickly.Once the pins are in, it's quite sturdy and it turns if you want it to. It looks quite neat and compact and has a guard on the front. One safety feature is if you pick it up, it turns itself off so that's quite good too. I would definitely recommend.

Perfect for a small to medium size room. Won't need to turn on a light when this bad boy is on full whack, definitely want it out eyes view. Good quality, looks like it does in the picture. Only down side is its Noisy when rotating

I got this after I ‘accidentally’ kicked my 4-year veteran and didn’t want to risk the vile condition known as frosty toes.Long story short, it’s smaller than my last one and without 3 months the top bar had stopped working. Within another month the second bar failed (though with some bashing it would come back on) and a couple of weeks later the final bar failed. Within 4 months I was basically left with a lightly oscillating piece of plastic…

I have two of these heaters now and they are ok and heat a room up quickly, but one of the halogen bulbs went quickly in each of the heaters so had to buy replacement bulbs ( not cheap ) and installing them was very difficult and in fact I had to break the old bulbs to get them out even though they are supposed to be pull to get off and push to connect to the new bulb, for me its a bad design or maybe I am doing something wrong.

One of the bulbs, does not work after 1 month. Heat is reasonable, provides light. That's about it. Not really worth the money if the bulbs have a short lifespan. Pick a different heater.
