These Philips WhiteVision Ultra W5W are much brighter lamps (bulbs are things you plant in the ground!).Despite being blue in physical appearance, they do light up bright white and will make my partner's grey car easier to see in the winter in low light conditions. You simply pull the old ones out of the lamp holder and push the new ones in. Don't forget to wipe your invisible natural fingerprint oil off them before activating them to test them, as being halogen lights this oil can cause the lamps to overheat and reduce lifespan. I can't speak to actual longevity but they are a good brand. These lights were good value for money too.If you do happen to be installing these in a similar car (Nissan Micra Mark III), be warned they are challenging to reach behind the headlight units to access and lock/unlock, so my quick tip is to undo the 2 small bolts that hold each light unit securely into the car and then you can wiggle the light unit free just enough so that it tips up at the top end (where you need access tot he rear of the unit to change the lamp). Then you can more easily get your fingers in to tighten the lamp holder back into place after fitting the lamp and it clicks into place.

These were used as a replacement for my car after one of the original bulbs gave up the ghost.Before talking about the bulbs, special mention has to go to the packaging. It was a total pain in the neck to get the bulbs out of the inner packet. So much so that I actually contacted Philips about this and they sent a video back how to get the bulbs out.The plastic inside the packet I got was extremely brittle and not pliable at all, so it wasn't possible to get the bulbs out without the retaining plastic shattering and going everywhere.Now, on to the quality of the bulbs. They're well built, and the light that they give out is second to none. There are a few reviews saying that these lights aren't white and very yellow. I would say that this is due to the headlight casings of these owners being in a poor state of repair and that's why the lights are yellow.When comparing the original bulb to the Philips version, the difference was massive. There is also a great throw on these bulbs which make for safer driving at night. They're a bit more expensive than other options out there, but they're well worth it. Plus there are two H4 bulbs included in the pack as well which is a nice bonus.

Used on my old mk4 mondeo now a new set on my mk5 mondeo with projector headlights they're so much better than the standard yellow halogens I use these on the country roads in brean sommerset to my caravan I own and in the dark down them lanes they're a must with the ditches and potholes well impressed and do recommend these as projector lights are shocking with standard bulbs

These bulbs are excellent! They have a nice whiter light (not perfect white but halogen can't really ever be perfect white), and they are insanely bright. They aren't the longest lasting bulbs but thats to be expected from such a powerful bulb. I had a pair of these in my old car and they lasted roughly 18 months before giving up the ghost. Personally thats worth it to have such a bright safe light in the dark.They were easy enough to install but thats on a car by car basis. On my golf they're easy to get in, once you've removed half the front of the car and have the headlights out on a bench. You can't go wrong buying these bulbs.One word of caution though, when installing a halogen light, try to avoid touching the glass portion of the bulb as grease from your fingers decreases their life span. I used latex gloves while fitting mine.

Bought for a Mini Cooper 2016. Would not recommend at all. One of the lamps failed after 8 weeks. I contacted Philips who asked me to send over photos which I did. After about 3 weeks they replied saying that the lamp had been subject to excessive voltage and therefore wasn’t covered under warranty. Customer service was dreadful. Eventually after escalating a complaint they agreed to send a replacement as a gesture of good will. Waited 4 weeks and chased to be told that they had reconsidered my complaint and they had changed their mind. 😂😂. I’ve now had Osram fitted for 3 months and they seem to be fine. I’ll never buy Philips again as this is the second dreadful experience I’ve had with them.

Funciona bien y efectivamente el color es mas blanco que la de serie, la intensidad luz similar, total son de posición, pero la temperatura color si que es mas alta .La duración determinara su calidad final

Excellent with great light output.
Best thing I did was buy these lights. So much better than origional specified lamps. Colour is good to see and a definite improvement in the light output. The park light replacement bulbs are a great bonus.
