I ate it straight from the jar!It tastes a bit like those lovely thin sesame caramel sweets, except the sweetness comes from dates, a little healthier perhaps than refined sugar.Texture is like tahini. You need to stir it because the solids settle. If you've had sesame in this form before you'll know that this is normal.I'm having to ration myself on this stuff, it is so good.

Sorry but really disliked this! Very oily and so difficult to mix to a good texture. No discernible taste of dates, just overwhelmingly sesame, yuck!

I finished one of these within 24 hrs. it tastes really nice. not too sweet, just right and runs well as well over my chickpea rice and white quinoa. I'm on a low salt diet, so this has become a new ally. hopefully it's' nut free.

Disappointing, I ordered the large size. Even when mixed properly (top was all oil) this was not spreadable, way too runny and it just tastes like sesame seeds, no discernable date taste. Nothing special. Why the Great Taste Award?? Would not buy again. I was going to buy Greek halva as a treat, and next time I will. This "spread" sounds better than it tastes.

Product arrived separated. Very difficult to mix. Had to pour whole thing out, mix for 15 mins then pour back. Taste a bit sour. Won’t buy again.

Was looking for a high calcium content product for my daughter as cows milk is pointless as it actually uses as much calcium to remove the waste from the body as it does to consume animal milk, so this is a great way to make sure they are having enough!
