I've just used this on my old vw polo, it worked very well. First test that there is pressure in the system, then refill as necessary using short bursts on the trigger to the gauge on the valve, i shook and turned the bottle between trigger press's. I think it took about five minutes to complete. Very easy to use.

I ordered and received an A/C pro recharge kit - not STP - but expect the same applies. The kit comes with a large 510 g tank of R-134a refrigerant gas, probably quite sufficient for a full charge, or more.However when I attached the charging device (flex hose with attachment at one end and dial reader at the other), as the instructions tell you to do, I found the system was already over-charged and clearly had been for years.The "filled" section of the dial is between 25 - 40 psi and mine was at or over the 150 psi and top of the "warning" range. As I had never charged the system in the past and hardly ever have the weather when ac called for, so rarely if ever used - I think the system was over charged by some over enthusiastic previous owner. Over charging stops the system working so I reduced the pressure by bleeding it off into the filled range, and it is blowing cold air now - not artic but OK I suppose.You might want to check the number of helpful You Tube vids on charging the ac system. Its not just under charged systems that stop ac working - could be a host of other factors, as the vids explain. Anyway I can't give a proper star rating as effectively I didn't use nor need a recharge kit - but at least I found out one problem being over charged system and expect that this may have compromised parts of the system so its been unhappy for some time. Still seems to work after a fashion now. Good.

So very easy to use,topped up my Mazda2 in 5minutes,nice cold air again,bought it for my Peugeot 308 which didn’t fit as Peugeot and Citroen changed the ports as to stop you charging the a/c yourself.

This gas and the fittings are for older cars that need R134 gas. Newer cars need R1234yf gas. The fittings are also different.It would have been helpful if the supplier had mentioned this on the listing then I wouldn’t have wasted my time and money. If you don’t know what sort of gas you need it’ll be printed on a label under the bonnet near the catch of close to the a/c Low/High piping.
