A very capable, handy & useful repair kit. The screwdrivers, tweezers, screws, nuts & accessories appear durable & well made. All the tools & accessories fit both snug & securely within their respective plastic cases & every item, from all the tools to the small screws, washers & nuts have their own place & or compartment for storage. While yes this kit does costs a little bit more than other spectacle repair kits listed, you do however definitely get you're money's worth & I for one am both very pleased & glad that I elected to purchase this comprehensive, durable & quality made repair kit as a pose to a cheaper less capable & or inferior one. This kit is more than suited to repairing my spectacles & I can highly recommend such.

Good value for the money………!This is perhaps a quality control issue ….but the screw driver slotted head is far too wide to fit glasses screws …as it was I used the end of a sharp knife. I do believe if your doing a job do it right but have the right tools !

Okay, so maybe it has so many hundreds of screws that it's clearly overkill. But it got the job done.I picked up new glasses from a high street shop in February, a month before the Coronavirus lockdown. Less than two months later, with nothing but very light use ... without hardly even going outside ... the hinge screw receptacle stripped, so the screw wouldn't stay in to hold on the temple. I remember the shop saying to just come back if I ever needed repairs ... but they're only accepting appointment visits for "ocular emergencies", whatever those are. So I wanted to get something certain to fix the problem.There were enough screws here that I was certain I'd be able to select one just infinitesimally larger than the existing screw. They're stainless steel, so I knew they'd be able to cut the grooves on their own. The only problem is stainless steel screws aren't magnetic, so it was quite fiddly to use them.The first selected screw was absolutely perfect. It does the job much, much better than the OEM screw in the other hinge. And I like the precision screwdriver set much more than the kit that I've had and been frustrated with for years. So over all, I couldn't be happier with this purchase.Now if only it could do something about the poorly aligned progressive lenses in the sunglasses that arrived AFTER the lockdown began ...

My partner regularly breaks her reading glasses, usually one or other arm falls off! Finding an appropriate tiny screw is difficult but this kit solves that problem. With a range of tiny screws, different lengths and thicknesses, and some useful tiny screwdrivers, repairs are a lot easier! Plus, there are also replacement nose pieces and other handy and difficult to find items. Great value and nicely packaged. Now I just need a magnifying glass and some thinner fingers....

I bought this in Oct 2020, but have only just this morning (22nd April 2021) had the need to use it as I finally lost a lens-holding screw in my spectacles.It's compact and quite comprehensively stocked with - it seems - everything you could possibly need.However...Apart from the small cleaning cloth being missing, it turned out to be a complete nightmare trying to open the box containing all the tiny screws etc as the lid is tightly held on by a plastic tape. Okay, so I managed to eventually cut this away. Next step was to open the box. Again, the lid is very tightly held on but with a bit of effort I managed to pop it off. Trouble is that the tiny screws scattered EVERYWHERE!!!The comprehensive nature of the item is actually quite good but the box it's in leaves something to be desired!!! Really bad design. I had to try and locate all the screws that had scattered... and some might still be missing now! I hate to think where they might turn up!Ideally, for an item like this, the lid should be hinged and with an easy-open catch. An internal cover to stop the screws spontaneously scattering on trying to open the thing would also be a sensible addition.If it hadn't been for this flaw in the box design, I'd have given a higher rating.

My little boy must be taking his glasses off in a certain way that puts pressure on one arm, because it's always that one that comes loose and the teeny tiny screw falls out. What a headache trying to get it back in! The original screw is always only just the right size, too good a fit really. Anyway, this time with lockdown, we couldn't take the glasses to the opticians so I bought this set after a weekend of trying and failing. Success!There are various tiny screws of different sizes. We chose a longer thinner one than the original, and it worked! And quickly. The kit tweezers were so much better at holding the screw than my eyebrow tweezers which surprised me, and the enclosed screwdriver set was perfect (the yellow and black ones) - the way the screwdriver top works means you get firm pressure, which is what did the trick. We didn't need the nose pads, but it looks like a good variety of screws and nose pads.Very pleased with this little kit! I'm sure we'll need it in the future.
