At last! A portafilter basket that fits the SMEG ECF01 and doesn't cost the earth. IMHO this one is better than the SMEG original because it can be cleaned properly. I've chucked my SMEG baskets away because they became clogged and even boiling them in Cafeza solution wouldn't unblock them.

My only niggle is that some wet ground coffee sometimes doesn't rinse from behind the pull tab, so best to also rinse the cup after removing the inner filter disk.

I originally thought that it was a problem with my machine but turned out to be a new part required. This filter is better than the original as it is easier to clean. It was difficult to remove the inner part at first but I filled it with hot water and it came out easily. Very prompt delivery. Arrived just in time for my morning coffee.
