Replace a larger pair of older Wharfedale Diamonds in dark wood cabinets which looked a bit foreboding in a small room. These sound almost as good despite being two thirds of the size and have a less intrusive light coloured cabinet.

Nach früheren Erfahrungen mit kompakten Wharefedale, die durch pseudobässe auffielen( allerdings auch vor 20 Jahren schon durch Robustheit und gute Verarbeitung) war ich gespannt— und angenehm überrascht klanglich neutrale Boxen zu hören , die für eine britische Box eine gute höhenauflösung zeigen, deren präsenzbereich genau richtig ist und die in der tieftonwiedergabe nicht zu sehr „ einknicken“. Eine vom Stil her wunderschöne Box, mit der ich in den nächsten Tagen noch Erfahrungen sammle— Gegner sind die kef q 150 und die Mission lx 2. Behalten werde ich wohl alle drei. Ich frage mich, ob Wharefedale nicht das Prinzip der baßreflexöffnung unter der Box — so wie bei der D 320— auch bei der Diamond bringen könnte. Aber zunächst chapeau auch für den gehäusekonstrukteur. Gehäuseresonanzen sind nicht mehr zu hören ,ebensowenig die bei kleineren Lautsprechern störende boxigkeit.

La claridad de sonido de estos altavoces es simplemente espectacular, unido a un buen amplificador hace que la música alcance una nueva cota. Jazz y clásica suena a otro nivel. El nivel de construcción es simplemente exquisito. Para una habitación pequeña es una solución óptima si quieres que la música quieres que adquiera un nuevo nivel.
