This exercise video is not only suitable for seniors, but anyone who prefers a slower approach to exercise. The male instructor, I believe his name is Jaime, is so inspiring. He's so encouraging, he makes you want to do more. If you prefer an exercise video with loud music and a faster pace, then this video would not be for you. All I can say, is try it, you won't be disapointed. Highly recommend.
Easy to fit in your day
I am a 72 year old Grandma that has not been very physically active. I was looking for a short, easy, age appropriate workout to do at home. I wasn't concerned so much in weight loss. Very concerned in strength. This 8 minute a day dvd is perfect. I am on the 3rd week and have noticed improvement in strength. The plus is I've lost a few pounds too. The first week showed me that the short, simple movements used all the right muscles. I was sore, but not too sore to continue each day. Very easy to fit into a routine. Instructions are fast, but you'll catch on. It shows two people, so just pick one to follow. I highly recommend for women and men.

I liked the fact he uses mature exercisers. I liked the compound moves that use upper and lower limbs together for faster results. What I didn't like is Jaime doesn't include a warmup and cool down in his 8 minute workouts. Anyone who has been exercising for years knows to include both in an exercise program to prevent injuries and soreness. There are separate add-ons for warmup and warmdown that you can click on but no mention of them in 8 minute workout. It only takes an extra few minutes in addition to the workout itself. But, then I guess it wouldn't be touted as the 8 minute workout. My other concern is Jaime telling the exercisers they have great form. Day 1 of the first week, the woman is completing a side lateral raise and is raising her arm up by her ear. I was always instructed to only raise the arm to shoulder height to avoid injury. Overall, the workouts are quick and efficient. I had to take off one star due to my aforementioned concerns.
