I picked up a few of these Aqara sensors to use with my smart home setup, and they’ve been fantastic. They paired instantly with my Aqara hub and respond really quickly when a door or window is opened. The size is nice and compact, so they’re barely noticeable once installed.Battery life has been great so far, I’ve had them running for months and haven’t needed to replace anything. I get instant notifications on my phone, and they also trigger my smart lights and alarms without any delay.For the price, the quality and reliability are excellent. Perfect if you want to add a bit of extra security or automate your home without spending a fortune.

Easy to set up once we realised that an older OS mobile phone that only supported older Alexa app was the issue. Just worked with a current-generation Android tablet, an Eero 6 router and the latest Eero and Alexa apps. Easy to set up an Alexa routine to announce 'The front door is open'. Now on to more adventerous automation knowing that the basic Thread/Matter network is working, mostly with the kit I already own.

Works well enough with Home Assistant and is a very discreet size & shape. Beware, though, if you have a number of Zigbee repeaters/routers, make sure to pair it when it is next to the router/extender you need it to operate through. It will not move to a better signal if you relocate the sensor.

Got 8 of these all around the house working different automations they work great and are Zigbee so you don’t need Aqara’s hub I’m using HA with Zigbee and these work well

Sticks on 3M tape, so quite easy to install. Seems durable and would definitely withstand a drop (not that it would). The range of activation is good, and the two parts don't need to be touching for it to register as closed, which is good if there is nowhere to stick. Since it's Zigbee, it updates instantaneously. Speaking of which, you do need a Zigbee hub or Zigbee adapter for your smart home computer, in my case a Raspberry Pi running Home Assistant OS with Zigbee2MQTT.

Really work well. Had other brand and it was "patchy"... this one just does what it says! Nice and small.Connected with Smartthings hub directly, but it does take some fiddling! The smartthings community has loads of tips and support... if you go down the route of getting a different driver, e.g. Yakov edge driver, make sure you download it before trying to connect... also it takes a few minutes....Worth it, very quick response when doors opened (or closed).

Aqara promised that an upgrade for the firmware on this sensor would unlock its additional features. This was way back when the sensor first released, and they still advertise that to this day.They said an Aqara M3 hub would be needed in order to get the updated firmware, and access the additional settings and features, leading users to buy the M3 Hub I imagine.The M3 Hub started showing up in December of 2023, and still here we are over a year and a half later without a firmware update for the sensor. Aqara ignores any requests for details on why there's no update.Without the update, the sensor has no configuration options. It can be seen within the Aqara app, and within your preferred Smart Home Ecosystem. This means there's no tamper protection as advertised, and the button on the sensor cannot be configured, so has no function whatsoever.Battery life is good by the looks of it. I've had it over a year and haven't had to replace the battery at all.I can't really recommend these to most people sadly. I feel like Aqara has miss lead consumers with this promise to add the additional functions, but hasn't followed through.

Acheté en octobre 2024 pour 44,79€, j'ai équipé mon logement de ces petits espions d'Aqara : porte-fenêtres, fenêtres ou porte d'entrée, tout y est passé. Autant vous dire que mon chez moi est maintenant plus surveillée que Fort Knox ! 😄L'installation ? Un jeu d'enfant ! Les autocollants double face fournis font le job parfaitement. Si vos ouvrants sont assez épais, vous pouvez même poser le plus petit élément sur la tranche. La détection se fait de face ou à 90°, avec une distance max de 2 cm.Côté réactivité, ces petits bijoux sont plus rapides que l'éclair ⚡. Ouverture, fermeture, tout est détecté en un clin d'œil. Fiabilité 100%, pas de faux positifs ni de ratés. C'est du solide !Maintenant, parlons autonomie. Les piles d'origine semblent s'épuiser assez rapidement, avec une baisse de 10 % en moins d'un mois. Bien que cela puisse être un problème avec les piles fournies, il est possible que d'autres modèles sur le marché offrent une meilleure autonomie. Pensez donc à prévoir des piles de qualité lors du prochain changement.Pour l'intégration, c'est un sans-faute. Je les ai branchés sur mon setup de pro : passerelle Zigbee 3 Sonoff, Raspberry Pi 3B, et Home Assistant. Ça fonctionne comme sur des roulettes !Les possibilités d'automatisation sont infinies.
