Good quality and value. Fast. Pre-configured as Ex-FAT so no configuring required but can be formatted to NTFS before use if you prefer.

It's a good drive, it has nice slim design and it's soft to the touch. I'm getting about 100Mbps write speeds.The LED light on this drive is very subtle so it's not disturbing at all.It certainly appears durable enough to move it around in a backpack but I'd be worried about dropping it etc. It's not rugged so got to be careful.Initially this drive was disconnecting for me whilst copying files to it. I had to format it 3 times before this issue stopped making the initial set up far more crumber some than it should have been.Also, this drive will disconnect from your pc if you move it around too much but this is an issue with every drive of this type.Power consumption is low of this kind of drives so wouldn't worry about it.I'll probably buy more of these drives.

The larger a hard drive is, the more risk you carry in case of failure, but I’ve been buying Seagate Hard Drives for years and have always had good experiences with them.This one is no exception and is my third drive of this type and capacity (I also have other Seagate Desktop drives which are larger, and used for land mark backups).This drive is used for continuous backup of an important PC and performs daily without issues. The price, per GB, is also reasonable.You get a selection of power connectors for the power adapter, so if you travel abroad and need to take this with you, you’ll always be able to connect it. The USB cable is also a decent length.Usual Seagate reliability and a nice-looking unit as well. Highly recommended.

I purchased the Seagate Portable Drive, 5TB, External Hard-drive via Bolo almost 2 years ago.I've regularly copied various documents, videos, photos onto it since with no issues, (approx' 2TB worth), ensuring I always clicked on `Remove External USB Drive` before disconnecting.The drive stopped working, even though the small white powerlight was on, and I could hear the internal of the portable hard-drive spinning confirming it had power ok, but my laptop was displaying a warning that `Windows cannot recognise this device...`.I replaced the USB-3 cable with a new one, but still no joy. I tried all the Device Manager options, `Uninstall USB Driver`, Restart laptop, and other potential options, even following many steps from YouTube videos, but everything was confirming it's a faulty hard-drive.I contacted Seagate online and they were very helpful, prompt and confirmed my hard-drive was still under the `Recover date warranty`. After various tests on the device they took me through (in case it was a problem with my Windows Drivers, or other), it was then established that it was a problem with the hard-drive.Seagate provided me with a Returns Label (to post the drive to their Data Recovery Department, which I did. I was kept informed throughout and a few days later got confirmation that all my data had been successfully recovered, which was then soon sent to me on a new hard-drive. Brilliant news!!I really can't thank Seagate enough for their AMAZING customer service, smooth and prompt data recovery, and for the new hard-drive. Highly recommended and I will certainly stick to the Seagate brand.

Estou fazendo o backup plugando o HD através da USB 2.0, apesar de ter percebido que no USB 3.0 é muito mais rápido, porém para não dar problema de salvar os arquivos, prefiro fazer de forma mais lenta. O produto chegou muito rápido que esperava, adiantando em 5 dias úteis para receber. Até agora não deu nenhum erro das trilhas do HD e a capacidade dele me satisfez. Mais para frente quero comprar outro igual.
