Very impressed with this speaker. I had been searching for a suitable speaker to replace an old guitar amp that I used for the occasional performance and lent to the local church for their outdoor services. I wanted something fairly loud, but it's a nightmare trying to deduce the comparative volume of speakers which advertise themselves as hundreds of Watts, and then when you investigate you can't unpick (or I don't understand) enough to work out just how loud they actually are (dBs, RmS, output power etc all becoming a mystery).I took a punt on this based on other reviews, the size of the speaker and what I could interpret from the description of the wattage. I was also considered the weights of the unit - too heavy and it would be inconvenient, but if they were too light I was doubting that they could actually be decent build quality, a hefty amp and speaker and a decent battery.This speaker ticked all the boxes for me - wireless mic and Bluetooth streaming is probably going to be all I need, but with sufficient inputs that I can use additional mics, inputs and stick in a USB stick. Easy to pair the Bluetooth (confused me initially as it didn't appear as Fenton, but that aside, it was a doddle). Microphone and streaming are great, and I've tried it with a USB stick and the remote control. The sound quality is very good, and it seems to handle bass very well with a nice deep sound from that 15" speaker.If you're wanting to fill Wembley stadium then this might not be for you, but in terms of something that is going to be loud enough for almost any internal use and medium size gatherings outside, I would highly recommend.It's easy to pick up and move with one hand, but the fact it has wheels and a pull handle will be useful. I tried it on the battery with the lights turned on (can't imagine they are going to be used much, but easy to turn on and off, and might be nice for a party). Sound quality still seemed to be great - in terms of volume, I cranked it up to the max just to see if it distorted, and it didn't seem to - but couldn't sustain that for long as I was getting dirty looks and something nasty mouthed at me by my wife, so I had to turn it down - but enough to prove it's more than loud enough inside.Very nice bit of kit and I am glad I got it (incidentally, not sure of the pricing strategy, but the 15" version was only £1 more than the 12" version on Bolo - it is a little heavier according to the spec and obviously I haven't been able to compare the two side by side, but if you're wanting plenty of oomph and you aren't fanatical about getting a smaller or lighter unit, I don't see why you'd want the 12" version - but that's a completely uninformed view.Hope this review is useful.

This review refers to the 15" 8ooW version. This'll give you a wide range of input options; Bluetooth, USB stick, memory card or RCA connectors from a CD player, mixer etc. although I suspect Bluetooth is going to be the most popular. The level and quality of the sound output is going to depend to a large extent on the positioning of the speaker and what you're driving it with. I first tried Bluetooth direct from my iPhone and the quality of the sound, to my ears, was OK but nothing special, in fact, in all sounded a bit 'muddled'. However, I realised that I had the equaliser on the phone set to suit my car - as soon as I set the equaliser to 'flat' and used the bass and treble controls on the speaker, it came to life. Plenty of 'ooomph' from the beast in the garden but, again, positioning of the speaker is going to have a big influence on the sound quality. I found the best results were mounted on a speaker stand (which I already have) at about ear level so, if you can raise it off the ground onto a table or something, you might hear the difference.The best results though came from pairing it to one of my Google Home devices and, especially at low volumes, gave a much clearer sound, particularly in the mid-range. Not all Bluetooth transmitters are equal so if it's not producing great results from, say, your phone maybe try some other input device like a tablet or laptop or at least check if your phone has some kind of graphic equalizer built in that you can tweak and avoid say, having the bass set to max on the phone and min on the speaker, that just wastes signal quality. Start from a point of levels set at 50% on both the input device and the speaker and tweak from there.All in all, I'm delighted with this package. The remote works well enough and the mic might be useful. Setup is a breeze. Plugged it in, selected Bluetooth as the input and away it went. Dead simple.

Before buying this it was hard to find an adequate review:I am a musician, I also like good bass, good quality sound and I am realistic.(I like heavy metal and I am a classically trained pianist)I didn't expect this to be extra loud bass or mega bass - however, I was very pleasantly surprised as used with the correct phone/device this is good quality sound, and adequate bass (we all like more bass there can never be enough!) folks what do you expect for £170?the important part is the equaliser and set up as this determines sound quality.I used iPhone 13 and set it on 'rock' on the phone equaliser. (you go into music settings)to compare - it is adequate for medium garden/hall or house. I played a variety of music on it - kids sang some karaoke - no complaints...only complaint was about my voice!mic is ok - does disconnect a bit if you move more than 2 m away which is annoying. thats the only negative really plus the small wheels which could be better quality.Having upgraded from a heavy speaker that weighed 15kg - its luxury! :-)(cannot wait to wheel it around the garden) nothing worse than having to move a heavy speaker into the shed when it rains!)The bass is not weak or poor - for the money its worth it!Judging by some of the review, some buyers had unrealistic expectations or didn't know how to use this.If you want stadium sound - invest £1000 on a venue speaker!
