I regularly use colgate toothpaste so when I couldn't get my usual version, it seemed logical to give this Deep Clean variety a try. I have to say though, I have mixed feelings about this particular toothpaste.It looked ok, a thick consistency, and it smelt ok when I put it on my toothbrush. However when I started to brush the first thing that struck me was the taste. I'm not really sure how to describe it but I just wasn't keen, and although by the time I'd finished brushing my teeth did feel clean, my mouth just didn't have the same super fresh feeling that I'm used to from Colgate's Advanced White toothpaste for exqmple. Had I had any of the alternative toothpaste in, I probably would have brushed again with that in order to feel fresher.Baking soda is well known for its cleaning/whitening properties so it makes sense to include that in a toothpaste but I'm not sure if it's that that I don't like the taste of or some other ingredient in it. My teeth did feel clean after using it though. I'm using all three of the tubes from the pack because I don't want to waste them. I'm currently just finishing the second tube and if I examine my teeth very closely then i would say they probably do look ever so slightly whiter than they were before i started using this toothpaste but only just, and I can't say anyone else has noticed any change. It's certainly not enough of a difference for me to forgive the taste and continue using it though.Having said that it was reasonable value for a three pack of toothpaste so that's a plus, but the taste and not so fresh feeling is just not for me.
