Initially I was tempted to return it because of the noise but after its been on for about 5 minutes you sort of tune it out of your awareness. And because it cools you down quickly you don't need to have it switched on the whole time anyway.I used the Sound Meter app (android) to measure the noise on the lowest setting and it reads out at 50 to 55 dB in the room I have it in. For reference the average talking voice is around 60 dB. I can't ever see a need for the two higher settings.If you want a powerful, solidly built fan that moves a lot of air and will very likely last a lifetime then this is the one.

This fan is so powerful, even on it's lowest setting it is very cooling, I notice that some people say in review that it is noisy, I do not think this fan is any noisier than any other fan at an equivalent cooling rate, very efficient, plenty of spare power if you want to cool and air a larger room, on it's lowest setting ideal for a small room, an excellent buy, fully assembled, looks beautiful, very good value for money indeed!

18” chrome blade fan.Well built for its price and despite what some reviews say the noise is relative - this isn’t a desk fan! I personally don’t find it that noisy on its top speed but it’s certainly not silent.The protective “cage” around the blades is a good solid wire so no chance of it getting dents every time you move it.Airflow is good. It’s not industrial wind tunnel stuff but you aren’t looking for that anyway. It is however a nice steady flow that’s noticeably more than a 12” fan would produce (seems obvious but bigger blades doesn’t always equate to more airflow)Downside is the power cable. It’s short. About 90cm.Nothing an extension doesn’t fix but it’s frustrating that you need this.Overall it’s well made for its price point and does a good job.

Received first thing today ordered Saturday. Well packaged and prebuilt.Super powerful and works far better than my other two fans working together. The last fan I purchased now costs close to £50 and is nowhere near as powerful.As others have stated, it is a bit noisy but in no way does it bother me and you don't need to have it on full when sleeping.An all round awesome fan (my new best friend lol).Paid for 2 years insurance (a one off £3.49 and can get 3 years cover for a pound or so more) on it which covers everything and no excess including accidental damage!Can't recommend it highly enough. And well worth the money.

Very powerful fan that cools the air really well. It's on the large side but I think it's fairly quiet for its size. Obviously the faster the speed, the more noise it makes. I love it. I hate hot muggy nights and this is a great solution.

Needed a new fan and thought I would try a floor fan. I will never buy another pedestal fan again. The power from this is fantastic and it looks good. It is slightly noisier but not enough to drive you insane. I would highly recommend this
