Reliable and nice shut off delay.
Since the first time I set it it has performed as expected. With little to no time from switching tool on to fire up both pieces of equipment drilling, cutting, and sanding etc can begin immediately. I was surprised by the length of the shut off delay. 5 seconds doesn't sound that long but it's a good amount off time after powering down your tool to quickly sweep any residual dust or chips off the work plate and let the line clear before the vacuum shuts off. I use it with the Dewalt Portable 4.5 hp unit with the handle and no wheels so the small size of the switch makes a good match if working away from the shop or lending it out to someone to use at their home or jobsite. The Switch fits inside the storage compartment on my vac nicely so overall I have no complaints despite the steep price. I was weary about the price point being to high and considered other options but nothing seemed to fit my needs like this unit so I took a risk. I'm glad I did and I definitely recommend it.

I hate the reviews that begin by stating that "I have been in construction for 30 years and I know everything" However, I have been in construction for 30+ years but know for a fact I am deficient in a lot of areas.That being said one area I am not deficient in is knowing whether a tool is worthwhile or not.This tool makes using a shop vac with a saw so much more convenient that I am more apt to use a vac with a saw rather than just depending on the usually useless dust bags.I have used one of these outlet devices made by another manufacturer for years. It worked great, but the build of it was not sufficient to stand up to being kept on a work truck and used in the field.In all honesty, having just received it, I cannot speak to the longevity of this device. I can, however, speak reliably on the build. This outlet device has a far superior build to my previous device. The housing is a very rigid ABS plastic as opposed to the flimsy light weight plastic on my former device.Another big advantage, as I see it is that this device has a short heavy gauge power cord to plug it in rather than plugging directly into an outlet as my old one did. This should help alleviate the problem of the device falling out of the outlet.As this particular device I just purchased on Bolo was the same price as the one I paid for several years ago I consider this a no brainer. It just seems to be a very solid unit.If for some reason it does not perform as expected I will return and update this review.
