Slice, wash, put away in 2 mins flat.

I have used this for a few months now and it has made brilliant coleslaw, sliced aubergine, potato for dauphinois, soup ingredients etc. so far still sharp and dishwasher safe. Love it. Recommend as it's worth the money as it's a quality product and gives joy to an amateur chef!

This is a great gadget to save time and to perfectly slice a variety of fruits and veggies. It's good quality, like most Joseph Joseph products. It is a 'mini' version of the bigger product they sell but I've found it works really well for limes, lemons and larger oranges, carrots, etc. Large veg would also work but it would have to be cut down to size first. It doesn't have a stand, so you have to hold it at an agle to use. If you try to use it flat, the slices build up underneath and get in the way, so it does have the potential to slip a little. I would highly recommend getting a safety glove to use with this. Although it comes with a plastic gripper to hold the vegetable/fruit to keep fingers away from the blade, once you get towards the end of the carrot or whatever, the holding device gets in the way and it is tempting to remove it and just hold the vegetable with your fingers. Please don't do this. It's mega sharp and you could easily lose a finger. And I mean, really easily.

I was hesitant to spend the money but am so delighted with this. An excellent mandolin, great quality, sturdy and easy to use. I recommend you use the well designed finger guard for more fiddly jobs or when you get towards the end of your slicing job. It also covers the blade when not in use. There are 3 thicknesses. I use it mostly for root ginger, but it makes slicing any fruit or veg good fun! Easy to wash up.

Never had a bad product from Joseph Joseph, albeit they are usually expensive for what they are.In this case, the price is good for what you get. It's good quality and very sharp with a good grip making it safe and easy to use. Cleaning wise, it's not spectacular as with all mandolins because it's very hard to safely get under the blade to clean.The green colour is not my favourite though, it looks pretty old fashioned. I would have preferred a black, white or silver one.

I've used this for 6 months now and till recently I was really pleased with it's performance and features, especially the locked blade position and the device to hold vegetables safely. However, I now find that the blade bends down in position 3 giving an uneven cut. There is no support for the blade and holder in that position, unlike in 1 and 2, so it is pushed out of place when slicing firmer vegetables. Such a shame as its a very useful piece of kitchen equipment. In addition, the blade is tarnishing slightly. I don't think this item will last the year out unfortunately.

I've been through a lot of mandolins and had given up on finding one that works well. This one is excellent! Sharp, easy to hold, adjustable thickness, and a breeze to wash. Joseph & Joseph have done it again.

I love Joseph Joseph utensils and this one is no different, great quality and looks nice.Using it is straight forward and made chopping cabbage up thinly much easier.There are three settings for different thickness so change for what you need & obviously the hand guard is an absolute must. There is also a setting that ‘locks’ it so that the blade is less prominent and safer to store which is good.It lost a star because it would’ve been good if there was some way to raise it, if you’re holding it on the counter for stability then you end up hitting the counter a bit whereas if it had a stand of some kind to raise it a little there’d be more room.I still love it though, does the job very well.

厚さを料理に合わせて、3段階に調節できます。握りてと本体の下の方がシリコンで滑りにくくなっているので、つかいやすいです。ものすごく切れ味の良い刃で指用ガードが付いていますが、そのギザギザもスパッと切れました。

Dopo aver rimandato, a lungo, l’acquisto, finalmente, approfittando anche di un’offerta (€15), ho deciso di prendere questa mandolina. Ho atteso a recensirla dopo averla usata, intensamente, per tutta l’estate. Posso affermare, innanzitutto, che è uno strumento indispensabile, necessario in ogni cucina (una volta usato vi chiederete: “Perché non l’ho acquistata prima?”), e non perché non sia possibile tagliare gli ortaggi con altri strumenti quali, ovviamente, i coltelli, ma semplicemente perche usando una mandolina i tagli sono veloci, tutti ugualmente perfetti; in altri termini, minore sforzo, minore tempo e, per contro, massimo risultato.L’articolo in questione è interamente realizzato in robusta plastica, ottimamente assemblata, bello è anche, a mio personale gusto, il colore. La lama, ovviamente, è in acciaio inox ed è estremamente affilata, ragione per cui consiglio, sempre, di usare l’accessorio proteggi dita che è in dotazione.Gli spessori di taglio, impostabili manualmente, sono 3 e vanno bene per affettare ortaggi del tipo: carote, zucchine, finocchi, ravanelli, cetrioli, peperoni, cipolle, radicchio rosso di Treviso, ma anche per affettare frutti come: mele, pere, kiwi, melone, ecc., insomma tutto quanto serve, ad esempio, per preparare una gustosa insalata estiva. Ovviamente, è presente anche una posizione di sicurezza della lama in chiusura, indispensabile durante le operazioni di pulizia che effettuo, sempre, manualmente, sebbene sia possibile il lavaggio in lavastoviglie. Nel caso, altresì, vi serva anche un taglio alla julienne, dovrete orientarvi su altri prodotti.In definitiva, i punti di forza sono rappresentati da: qualità costruttiva, lama affilatissima, dotazione dell’accessorio proteggi dita, dimensioni e peso ridotti, bel design ergonomico, praticità di impiego e facilità nella pulizia dopo l’uso, affidabilità e precisione del taglio, ottimo rapporto qualità vs prezzo.I limiti sono, probabilmente, l’assenza di un accessorio per il taglio alla julienne e la mancanza di una 4ª posizione per un taglio un po’ più spesso, che sarebbe utile, ad esempio, nel caso si debbano affettare patate da friggere.
