Don't believe the reviews that say it's hard to clean. Milk will only really cake on if left on for a long time - it will keep coming on for a minute at a time if left - but a brush, warm water and some washing up liquid deals with that - but, anyway, if it didn't come off with scrubbing, it won't come off in your drink, obvs :)One niggle is that it's not possible to say whether it's on or off by looking at it, so it may spin unexpectedly when you put it back on the base. After it's gone off, switch it off so it doesn't come back on unless you want it to keep warm. Overall, highly recommended.

This is a great frother and works really well at frothing but I've only given it 4 stars because of the annoying handle. If your hands are dry when washing this it's ok, if a little unwieldy, but if they're even slightly wet gripping it is problematic. It slips out of your hand and if there's water in it well... The handle is squared off rather than rounded, rounded being much better for holding generally. Apart from that it's extremely good at what it's made for!

Bought after top Which reviews. It froths amazingly, but almost too well, it goes a bit solid and buns slightly at the bottom.Update: This broke after 7 months. It had always burnt at the bottom making it very boring to clean. Then, out just working. Bolo said they would attempt to repair rather than replace it. I was happy with that because it's much better than just throwing it away.I didn't hear anything a couple of months.Then. their repairer replied to an email to say that it couldn't be repaired.I had to chase Bolo at every stage of the processBolo said they would refund not replace.But in that time of them not repairing the price had gone up so the refund does not cover the replacement.Bolo said there is nothing they can doBolo said they would send the broken unit back to me to see if I could repairThe unit has not arrived a month laterBolo has not acknowledged my complaintFirst time this has happened, Bolo usually more straightforward to deal with.

Hard to clean with stirer attachment in bottom. Burns milk which makes it hard to clean.Could make the temp a little hotter.

I have been using this now for several months and have to say I'd recommend buying a different model. I have 3 issues with it:1. It over-froths the milk. It certainly gets visually impressive results with cloud like foam, however it becomes a solid, airy structure that just sits on top of your coffee. It should create a warm, velvety milk with some foam, but this makes tepid, aerated meringue like foam.2. It doesn't heat the milk much. If you're foaming then it begins immediately and within 45 seconds or so you have the above mentioned solid foam. This isn't long enough to warm the milk properly. You can use it only as a milk warmer but to do so you have to remove the whisk from inside the bottom of the jug, so you then can't whisk your warmed milk without sticking your fingers into the milk to try to reattach the whisk.3. It's not very easy to clean. It's hand wash only and quite fiddly with the whisk mechanism making it difficult to get into the corners inside the jug.I really wanted to love this but I find myself heating milk in the microwave for 30 secs and using my hand held Aerolatte which cost £10 and produces better results.Disappointing.

I love a frothy milk chocolate, and this purchase was pure indulgence. Well, let me tell you something - I've never seen this much froth! I thought I was pouring in a very small amount of milk as I tipped in the maximum amount for frothing. Next to no time later (maybe a minute, less than two) I had a container FULL of frothy milk for my hot chocolate! I'm going to get a plastic spoon so as not to scratch the interior, which is non-stick. But this could not be easier to use (and it's no hassle to clean either). There's just the one button to press!I know I have a little more to explore about this milk frother (how well it works when I'm topping a cappuccino, for instance), but it's not for nothing that it was awarded Best Buy status by Which? after tests of various milk frothers. My only quibble would be that my personal taste is for the milk to be a little hotter, but that's really splitting hairs. I'm very pleased with my purchase, which does exactly what I bought it for. A bedtime hot chocolate now the evenings are drawing in - I got this just in time to keep me going through winter!

I purchased this to replace a Lavazza milk frother due to not being able to get spare parts, which is the only thing that let the Lavazza down. Had the Lavazza for around 6 years.I've now returned the 2nd one of these in a little over 6 months after the motor and thermostat stopped working together so was producing partially frothed milk (doesn't complete the cycle).I have a Krups bean to cup machine so though this would be the perfect addition for Latte's and Cappuchinos, but it sadly lacks the functionality of the Lavazza, with no cold milk option for frappe's.Overall the machine works fine. It froths very well (although don't bother with the guides, as you just need to cover the black bits of the wire frother to do enough froth for a large cup - any more is a waste of milk), it heats milk well, so can't really grumble with the performance.Real issue I had was with the non-stick coating inside. I only ever washed the inside with a non-scratch sponge with washing up liquid, yet the coating started coming away after only a few days. That one was returned to Bolo and a new one received, which has been fine.Overall, as I use it 5 or 6 times a day, I don't think the build quality is quite up there. First one lasted a month before the coating started coming away, 2nd one has lasted for 6 months before the motor has partially failed. I'm replacing it with a Melitta frother, which hopefully will last a lot longer
