This vortex product is pretty basic, it doesn't need to do a whole lot, other than get the BBQ very hot! I used this on my Weber 57, along with a chimney starter, half full with Weber briquettes and also placed fresh briquettes at the bottom of the vortex. Once the starter had the briquettes going, I tipped them all into the vortex and the temperature soon hit a stable 250 with vents fully open. I started off open grill cooking home made Adana kebab on wide skewers. After this, I moved onto Angus and Oink rub chicken wings, apple and hickory wood, with the Weber lid closed. I rotated the wings after 15 mins and finished the cook at total of 35 mins. I then went for another round of wings in a different Angus and Oink rub for the same cook time but by this point the temp was sitting 240. Really pleased with how the food turned out, wings had a crisp skin and the vortex works well. The quality of the product is decent for the I price paid and I'd recommend investing in one.

Thought I'd get this as I wanted try cooking some crispy chicken wings. Solidly built, does the job perfectly and creates a very high heat within the BBQ. Everyone was very happy with the results. I've got a Weber 57cm kettle BBQ which it fits perfectly in, probably not suitable for smaller BBQs.

Be aware that if you own a Weber 57cm Compact kettle this product is no use to you. The shallower bowl means that when you have the cone in place there isn't enough depth to put the cooking grate on top. On my Master Touch (and im sure other "full size" versions) it's cracking & does its job.

This is a game changer for cooking chicken wings. It brings the heat, in a good way. Fairly priced considering it's essentially just a metal cone, however it's built well, and can handle the high heat it's put under. Perfect for a weber barbecue as you can see in the picture. Never made chicken wings as good on the bbq. Would highly recommend

Item delivered slightly mis-shaped with the top of the cone squeezed and not a nice circular opening as shown in the pictures. Shows a lack of quality control as there was no damage to the packaging it was delivered in. Disappointed as there were cheaper vortex options but went for this one due to the brand. Ive used it, it works fine... but I see the mis-shape every time I use it!
