The strength of the light beam at any setting, a simple twist or pull to adjust, is quite impressive - illuminate a room or spotlight a small area - and even though each torch takes 3 AAA batteries and even though I have no idea of their working life (I'm using single use batteries), the frequency with which I use the torches is limited and I suspect that these torches are fully in the value for money category.

This product was delivered today with the case hinge broken and was not secure out of the 4 lockable clasps 2 were not secure and 1 of the lens had come away from the toch

One of the four torches was unusable because the battery section didn’t have any little springs/metal connections. Poor quality which should have been checked.
