I thought the storage container would be more "robust". I suppose you get what you pay for and it seems to work OK, although I have not yet used all the cutters. I'll just have to be v careful with the container.JAY

Ram® 6 in One Multi-Function Vegetable Grater, Mandoline Slicer, Potato Chipper, Food Cutter with Storage Container for Onion, Tomato, Cucumber, Carrots, Fruits, Cheese -This thing is awful for grating cheese - the thing I bought it for. At least this is what I have found. Admittedly the packaging (but not the listing) does not mention grating cheese.the top and bottom do not reallyThe "blades" do not stay in place. They do seem to fit snuggly into the storage slots though.Speaking of the storage slots - these are on the top part - 2 on each side of the slot for the blade you are using. At first this seemed like an excellent idea (although there are 4 storage slots and 6 blades (but one would be in the for use slot - or coming out of it all the time.) Thinking about this more, the storage slots are not as ideal as first thought as you have to remove them all every time you wash it, or leave them in and let them rust.Looking at the ad again, it points out the non-slip handle. Well ok, your hand won't slip, it'll stay where you need it on the handle - but the whole top will probably just come off.I might just have a dud, but in my experience - nothing really fits properly, and I would certainly not buy this one again.On the plus side is is fairly ok at cuttint carrots. I'm sure it'll be ok at cutting other verggies.

THE LID DOESN'T SIT PROPERLY ON THE BOWL & THE GRIPPER THING SLIPS OFF THE GROOVES LEAVING THE VERY SHARPE BLADE EXPOSED. THIS DOES NOT CUT CHIPS OR LATTICE FRIES AS ADVERTISED. VERY FLIMSY ITEM. I HAVE BINNED THIS CHEAP & NASTY ITEM & WILL BE GETTING A MORE EXPENSIVE PROFESSIONAL VERSION. AVOID THIS DANGEROUS TAT.

Great little gadget to have in the kitchen. Blades super sharp. The only problem i have is there isn't enough slots for all the blades so one is always just chucked in the box.

Conception très ingénieuse
Ça pourrait valoir cinq étoiles ; j'en retire une pour l'absence d'explication en français sur/dans le coffret, mais le descriptif en français sur Bolo est assez compréhensible.Pour les gens qui ne comprennent pas comment fonctionne cette mandoline, voici quelques précisions :1. Il faut d'abord mettre les 4 coussinets antidérapants noirs sous le bac de réception blanc (bien les enfoncer, ça résiste un peu au début) ;2. Ensuite, insérer les deux butoirs en plastique noir au bout de la plaque rouge ; zoomez sur l'image du descriptif, ils sont très visibles et ne s'encastrent que d'un seul sens (s'ils ne s'encastrent pas, c'est que vous les avez mis dans le mauvais sens) ;3. Enficher la plaque de découpe souhaitée ; là aussi, de même que pour les quatre autres plaques de découpe stockées sous la plaque rouge, on ne peut les enlever/remettre que dans un seul sens, donc inutile de forcer si ça ne rentre pas, testez plutôt dans l'autre sens ;4. En cas de légumes peu volumineux, la protection anticoupure se pique sur le légume afin de remplir son office, qui n'est pas celui du couteau de même nom ;)5. On peut aussi découper des blocs de savon de Marseille en copeaux – j'ai testé avec succès la râpe à julienne de 3 mm.Au début, on se dit que ça ressemble à un jouet pour enfants. Erreur ! c'est un outil parfaitement fonctionnel et fort habilement conçu. Dommage qu'il n'y ait aucun emplacement pour la sixième râpe.Je précise quand même – plusieurs commentaires sous cet article ou sous des articles similaires ne l'ont manifestement pas compris – que cette mandoline* n'est PAS conçue pour éplucher ou peler des tomates. Pour trouver un éplucheur de tomates, cherchez sur Bolo "éplucheur tomate" dans la rubrique "cuisine & maison".* en fait, les mandolines ne sont pas faites pour éplucher les tomates.
