I previously had an electric power filter for my 50l fish tank. It was not easy to keep clean and the filter needed replacement every month which was expensive. I like the design of this filter and the fact that the filter sponges are replaced every 5-6 months. It was easy to set up and is very quiet. The filter comes with 2 sponges plus 2 replacement sponges. Very impressed and looks like it will be easy to keep clean. An air pump is required to run the filter which I prefer as I can also run an air stone from the air pump. The fish are enjoying playing in the bubbles.

This product is absolutely fantastic and I really cannot rate it highly enough. Firstly it looks pretty cool, there clear views behind the item as when maintaining an aquarium sometimes fish are behind and hard to spot which is a plus. Great suction power. Super easy to maintain. Also has areas (bottom) which helps the build up of good bacteria. It even comes with a couple of spare sponges. Will definitely purchase more of these for my other tanks. Lastly, happy water happy fish. Well done to the designer. A very happy fish keeper.

I did find it a bit of a faff, a bit fiddly to set up as all the bits move. I think we pay for the unique design as it is only plastic tubes and sponge. But what a design, once you have it placed in your tank it is very effective. At first when I connected and turned on the pump the air forced a cannister tube off. Thankfully all the filter media stayed inside, this was my fault for not ensuring tubes where tightly fitted. I was learning.....I bought this to supplement my fluval 307 in a 240L tank and it had done a brilliant job. When I clean it I'm sure I won't find it as fiddly....but even if I do, I think the product is worth it. I like the fact it doesn't have a power source and the pump does all the work in this simple, effective filter system. I also looks a very safe design for fry to be around.

I decided to switch over to a sponge filter to replace my internal power filter, mainly to reduce flow and create more space.I wish I’d done it years ago. This filter is well built, comes with spare foams and has the benefit of both sponge and bio media filtration so it’s biological filtration capability is excellent.It takes up very little space, is quiet and is very easy to set up requiring just an air pump to run it.I have had mine running for two months now so that I could give an accurate review and I am very impressed. My water quality is perfect and I’ll definitely be looking into more Hygger products if this is anything to go by.

I run a 145 litre tank, a little over stocked and this is to compliment my fluval 307 external filter. I've filled the compartments with activated charcoal, which when past its life is also a good bio media.Connected to an aqua one pump it has decent suction and pulls a fair amount of water,tge large bubbles are a little noisey but I found extending the tube so it top is just out of the water stops the noise and aids surface ripple.It's very easy to clean, and the amount of particular matter it pulls is impressive.It's a good, cheap no nonsense filter, highly recommended 👍
3.0 out of 5 stars Would be brilliant if not for a couple of flaws
I've had one of these for 4-5 months, I bought it along with an air pump with build in battery as extra/redundant filtration for a 90 litre tank. At first it seemed excellent, the extra biological filtration over most sponge filters is nice, the sponges are easy to pull off for cleaning periodically without having to remove the whole unit, and being able to stick it to the glass makes it relatively discreet with enough plants in the tank. It has been let down however, by the fact that the suction cups that stick it to the glass are hopeless, I don't think it's gone more than a day or 2 without me needing to re-attach one or both of them. I was willing to live with that as it was usually only one of the suction cups that would detatch and so it didn't go far (and frankly I started just ignoring it unless both came off), but then it also developed an air leak where the central pipe connects to the horizontal pipe at the bottom and at that point I decided to just replace it with one of the typical, simpler types of sponge filter. It's a shame as in principle it's a great piece of kit, and maybe I just got a defective one, but my opinion of it has been very much soured by these issues

1.0 out of 5 stars POOR Suction, half a day and it's back floating at the top of the tank, USELESS!
Really disappointed in this, was so excited with the concept of it, really poor suction cups cannot be left. It's a big panic everytime I come home from work to see it floating at the top of the tank.Would never purchase again complete waste of money.

Tenía un filtro pero el agua se oscurecía enseguida y me decidí a cambiarlo. Este me llamo la atención por su forma y una vez puesto aún me gusta más. Queda muy bien puesto y lo mad importante, hace de maravilla su función. El agua está súper clara y limpia. De momento es una maravilla y muy estético. Yo lo tengo en un acuario de 110 litros y funciona de maravilla. Lo recomiendo sin duda.

Il prodotto mi sembra ottimo. Inserito all’interno dell’acquario di 50lt. Occupa un po’ di spazio all’interno ma se non avete un’altra possibilità meglio pensare al benessere degli abitanti dell’acquario anziché all’estetica dello stesso. Ha le spugne che servono a non far aspirare le uova dei pesci
