This lacquer feels good quality and goes on so easily with a brush. I found that putting it on with a roller did not go well as it seems to splatter spots everywhere. It does go on white but dries clear and quite quickly too. I have put 2 coats on the cupboard I've made but its not quite finished so cannot comment on how well it protects the mdf. I'm sure I will soon.

Amazing product. After reading all the reviews and some saying it changes the colour if used on darker shade I was a bit skeptical but decided to take the plunge and try it. So glad I did. I've painted my new chest of drawers a verydark bottle green in matt paint (three coats to get the right depth) then I applied this product when the paint had dried. I wanted a matt finished but with waterproof protection. It worked andim really pleased. It goes on white and dried clear. It's now got the matt finish I wanted but is easier to clean and repels water. I'm super happy and recommend this product. If I need more this is my go to product.

Goes on well though the finish isn’t 100% clear. I used over a satin finish black wood paint and the finish though even, was slightly “cloudy”. Could be that the varnish is a Matt finish and I used over a satin.Other than this it’s a great product, dries quick and not toxic to breath.

This was amazing. So easy to use, very fast drying so you can do lots of coats if needed. The finish is a very natural Matt. Love it ❤️ just perfect for the kitchen Island and shelves wood work. I had tried 2 other brands before finding this one, they had to sanded off because they looked patchy. The Hemway varnish/lacquer looks so smooth and flawless. Thank you xx

Dreadful product. Not clear. Leaves white streaks. Not waterproof either . Went from a lovely grey to a streaky mess

this is a good quality Acrylic varnish but should not be described as a Lacquer I have tried layers of this to create a deep shine using metalics and metal flake and it lacks the finish of a spirit based lacquer a good product but not what it says on the tin!

The media could not be loaded. I needed a low VOC, pet safe sealant to protect my rabbits' housing and hides.I used it over Cuprinol Garden Shades to add even more weather/waterproof protection, and also to protect it from my rabbits' pee a bit more :P and so far it seems to be working a treat!It applied easily, after giving it a thorough shake and stir, covers well and dries quickly, as stated.1 tin covered this entire 7ft bunny castle, inside and out, with a tiny amount left over.I used several (3-4) thin coats to gradually build it up. Where I accidentally used a bit too much, it is a bit milky and dried in to a small, hard blob. But as I'm only using it for my pets' housing, this isn't an issue for me and was caused by human error so I can't fault the product!Very pleased and is a similar price to other products of it's type, but was the only safe, water based sealant I could find for my fur babies' housing and furniture!

Great for a wooden floor
Using a roller, I applied a single coating of Hemway Clear Satin Lacquer to the wooden floor of my room. Without a doubt, it's a vast improvement over the floor, pre-coating. Before I applied the lacquer coating, the floor had a rather poor finish (the appearance and the feel of the floor when walking barefoot seemed pretty dismal) and I was concerned about the wood decaying or getting spoiled by the growth of molds as a result of moisture. After the coating, the floor has a nice glossy finish and feels quite pleasant when walking barefoot on it. I also don't have to worry about decay and mold growth due to the protective layer. What's more, it's pretty economical-it took me approximately little over a half of the lacquer available in a single can to cover the entire floor which has an area between 35-40 square meters.
