Easy to install, nice grid marking on the paper which makes it easy to measure and cut as needed. You can take it off the window super easily to adjust or even move it to another location/window. No one can see through this from the outside even when it’s dark and inside lights are on. This is a key home safety item for me and I highly recommend it.

Purchased the spec on special offer (44 x 200 for less than £7.00) in order to treat as a 'test’ piece really.So first thing to mention (as have other contributors) is that the backing is very difficult to initiate peeling. The supplied tab really isn't a lot of use and I ended up using a 10A scalpel blade to start the separation.Did all the soaking of the window etc and affixed the top edge to the glass. Had started to peel the backing off (from one corner) when it decided to split into several shards, leaving them on the film.Took the whole thing off and removed the remainder of the backing laid on a table.Reapplied to the glass and used a window squeegee to remove the bubbles. Voila! It was done.On the positive side it does dry flat & even and it's easy to reposition. Personally, if I did another window I’d make it a two-person job (to be fair I think it does actually say this on the suppled instructions) and I’d start the peel from both top corners rather one. So one person would secure the film from the top while the other peeled the backing down.How does it look? Ok, if not perfect but you do get what you pay for.

There are products that you need out of necessity sometimes and I had recently moved to a new home which has a glass pannelled front door leading from an internal corridor. Six weeks after coping with an old sheet pinned up on the door I decided that the answer was what I termed a ;modesty panel' and I think that was probably my first search. I didn't really know what I was looking for, but true to amazing Bolo form I hit upon this product. Modesty on a roll! My first thought when it arrived on a roll was that I would be lucky if it did a temporary job. How wrong I was!It has now been up for several weeks and the task of creating instant privacy is there to stay. What a brilliant product, one of those infrequent purchases that far exceed expectations. The effect is so professional looking and it provides total privacy without blocking out all the light.What's more it was very easy to put into position. The method is ingenious and only involves water, scissors or a sharp blade knife, a cloth and a window cleaning squeegee (which really helped achieve a perfect finish).I had some spare film left over and had been struggling with heavy sunlight through the window by my desk. Second problem solved with Rabbitgo! I applied the film to the top half of a large window and it has neither blocked out too much light nor spoiled the view/look of the window. So not only do I recommend it for privacy, but also for easing penetrating sunlight. Now I will purchase some more and do the same on the two adjoining windows. It would be no problem to remove, but I have every intention of keeping it exactly as it is. So satisfying to find such a product and I thoroughly recommend it.

Was just about to write a review saying I'd thrown it in the bin and then a miracle. Getting the backing film off is next to impossible but after about 20 minutes the miracle happened- can't say how, it just did. Used lots of water and smoothed down from top to bottom with a bank card. Final result looks ok and application was straight forward. Shame it's so difficult to separate the backing film and that the instructions are so useless. If you buy, good luck, stay calm, you can do it.

Wanted this to create privacy on a front door window pane without blocking out excessive light.FUNCTIONALITY : This has added privacy to a front door. When applied to the front door the FROSTED WINDOW FILM was extremely effective in adding a frosted white background to a decorative door window. Looking inwards it is not possible to see inside the house during both daylight and night time hours even when the light is on insider the house and it is dark outside.INSTALLATION: Installation required some level of care and skill. This was due partly to the curved frame of the window but also to the nature of the installation process itself.Installation of this film requires similar attention to details as when adding a protective screen to a mobile phone.1) Separating the backing from the film is not easy. The suggested technique of using adhesive tape did not work. Eventually it was necessary to pick at the film backing with a pointed surgical blade trying to get the blade between the film and backing. This worked and I was able to start the separation.2) Applying the film to the wetted window is straight forward. Once on the window, partly because the frame is curved, cutting off the excess film required care. I found that even with a very sharp surgical blade the there was a tendency for the film to be dragged down the glass in the direction of the cut and/or if the film was held in place to stretch slightly under the cutting action of the blade. Neither of these issues caused a problem but care was needed to ensure a good cut. This may have been because of the curved frame.3) Smoothing out the water. This was easy and straight forward using a credit card type piece of plastic.DUST: The window was cleaned before applying the film with a window cleaner to remove grease etc and then washed down. However after applying the film I noticed two specs of dust under the film. This in my view id not a problem with the film. It is more to do with the inability to keep the local area free from airborne dust. It is the same issue as when applying protective covers to mobile phones. One reason this dust got under the film may have been because I only sprayed the window with water. I did not spray the film a with water as I have seen suggested. This may have prevented the film picking up dust due to static. However I believe that it should be easy to peel part of the film away from the window and then remove the dust particle as you would when fixing a phone screen protector. I Haven't done this as you are only able to see the dust from 5-10 centimetres away and then only of you peer carefully and intently.DUST UPDATE : The film has been on for a few days now and the dust specks that were visible immediately after installation seem to have disappeared. At least they are no longer visible. The only explanation I can come up with is that the film has molded itself around the dust and because it is frosted the small dust particles have been come invisible to the eye.GLASS TEMPERATURE/CRACKING: Some reviewers have reported windows cracking as a result of installing BLACK film. Cracking in sunlight has not happened to my windows. Out of interest I measured the the glass temperature of the window with the opaque/frosted film, a clear glass window, and a true frosted glass window all in direct sunlight on a sunny and very warm day.All windows were above ambient temperature. The clear glass window was about 5 degrees above ambient, the true frosted glass window was about 7 degrees above ambient, and the window with the film was about 5 degrees above ambient.This suggests that in my case the frosted film is not causing the window to heat up unusually when compared with other glass windows. However, I can appreciate that a solid black film, because black absorbs heat, may cause the window to heat up more. For interest the ambient temperature at the time of the measurements was recorded on the device used to measure the temperature of the windows as around 30C.

Ich habe mir die Fenster Folie gekauft um die Blicke der Nachbarn draußen zu halten und genau das tut sie auch :D man kann jetzt weder rein noch raus schauen .Aber das wichtigste vorab MADE IN CHINA !!!allein deswegen bin ich mir wegen dem angegebenen UV Schutz nicht wirklich sicher, ob das auch so stimmt, ich denke das sollte jeder selbst für sich entscheiden.bei mir liegt ein Fenster direkt am Spielplatz unsere Fenster sind sehr Tief unten, so das im Sommer die Spielplatz Besucher sogar mit dem Gesicht an meiner Scheibe klebten um rein zu schauen, vorher hatte ich innen Rollos , was gegen die Blicke half ABER es machte den Raum doch dunkler, es kam Licht durch keine Frage aber eben nicht sooo viel, für dieses Jahr musste also eine andere Lösung gefunden werden und was im Bad funktioniert sollte doch auch im Wohnzimmer klappen :Dalso erst einmal die Fenster ausgemessen und dann auf Folien Jagd gegangen, ich habe mich für diese hier entschieden, obwohl sie nicht die besten Bewertungen hat, gerade was das ablösen der Trägerfolie an geht , jaaaa auch ich hatte das Problem, ich wäre fast verzweifelt um diese Trägerfolie zu lösen, selbst mit einer Spitzen Nadel, war es fast unmöglich diese an einer Ecke an zu heben, hier sollte sich der Hersteller wirklich noch einmal Gedanken machen ob man das nicht besser lösen kann.Gut hin gegen ist natürlich das Karomuster auf der Rückseite, so das man auch gerade Schnitte hin bekommt. Schneiden lässt sich die Folie TOP und das anbringen geht wirklich leicht, ich habe dazu Wasser und ein paar Tropfen Spülmittel in eine Zerstäuber Flasche gegeben, Fenster zuerst ganz normal putzen, sind diese sauber und Trocken, kann man sie mit der Zerstäuber Flasche mit SEHR viel Wasser einsprühen, hier sollte man wirklich nicht sparen, dann klebt man die Folie an das Fenster , wenn man mit dem Wasser - Spüli gemisch nicht gegeizt hat, kann man jetzt die Folie am Fenster noch in die richtige Richtung schieben, ich habe dann mit einem Rakel das Wasser und die Luftblasen raus gestrichen von oben nach unten und die Folie klebt - auch das ablösen und erneute aufbringen ist kein Problem, eine Folie musste ich 3x abnehmen, weil ich an einer Seite immer zu weit am Dichtungsgummi war und die Folie dann dort nicht klebte, aber das war für die Folie absolut kein Problem, allerdings ist sie nach dem abziehen der Trägerfolie MEGA Statisch die zieht SOFORT alles an ( Katzenhaare, Staub etc. )Die Folie ist absolut Blickdicht ABER sie lässt das Tageslicht noch sehr gut rein, man merkt fast nicht das man etwas am Fenster hat, mein Raum ist jetzt deutlich heller und auch freundlicher.Zum UV Schutz werde ich nichts sagen, da man dies nicht beurteilen kann.Eine Gebrauchsanleitung liegt jeder Rolle Folie bei !
