The speed and efficacy of the chemicals impacted upon the weeds on our gravel paths, our patios and also a large area of weeds on land adjacent to our property, which we don’t, own and nobody maintains. I applied it using a pressurised sprayed with a rate of 24ml per litre which in theory covers 400 sqm; I would say that this is a trifle optimistic for coverage using a conventional garden sprayer. No one is questioning the strength of the product, rather is is difficult to deliver in such a fine spray.Once killed, the weeds have not return so far. I cannot say it is easy to use as you have to exercise caution when applying any chemical, particularly in an aerosol form so I wear a mask when applying these products when applying over a wide area, but when targeting weeds on a patio or similar, there is no need in my opinion.In summary, effective, reasonably priced and reduces weed growth, even established weeds quickly and efficiently.

A really strong weed killer that wiped out anything I sprayed it on! There was one slight issue. I decided to jet wash the patio a week after applying this and the remnants must have ran down onto my grass with the run off of water, it completely wiped out the grass within 3 metres! So I’m not best pleased but that was my own issue!

It did take about a week to see the results but the weeds are gone, can't really say how long it will last only time will tell, I'm pleased will the results though.

I was worried as I forgot to mix the solution properly after making it up but it will worked effectively. It’s slow but effective. Even worked on my driveway block paving. Remember to give it a good shake after you have made up the solution with water. I used a pump spray. See before and after photos. You can see where I missed a patch.

Rootblast is effectively concentrated glyphosate. Glyphosate is a widely used herbicide which will kill pretty much any plant it is sprayed on but, and here’s the important bit, doesn’t hang around in the soil in the way that some other weed killers do so it means you can still use the soil to grow other things when your weeds have gone.Glyphosate is relatively safe in that it works by preventing the plant from making amino acids. Amino acids are needed to make proteins and proteins pretty much do everything in a living organism so no proteins equals no life. Once it’s sprayed on it will take a week or so to kill off the plant - which will be using up its proteins in the meantime - so don’t expect to com out the next morning and find your weeds all shrivelled up and dead. But they will die,although some tough weeds might need a second go.There has been concern relating to the potential for glyphosate to be connected with cancer. As far as I understand this is when animal tissue is exposed to a lot of glyphosate. If, like me, you are just going to spray it on the weeds in your garden and, as always, wash you hands after, then I believe there is effectively no risk but it’s always worth doing your own research if you are concerned. Humans, like all other animals, obtain their proteins from the food we eat so glyphosate cannot interfere with our protein formation. I use it and am a lot happier with it than some of the other weedkillers that have been around.In short, Rootblast does what it says it will and it’s a hell of a lot cheaper than buying glyphosate ready mixed.BTW, don’t spray your weeds when it’s windy unless you want to do in your dahlias etc. as well.

I bought some two years ago. It certainly works but it is quite slow and it needs repeated spraying because it is weak. The price has just gone up twice - every time I look at it in other words.I needed to clear a wide strip of grass and weeds before rotavating and then planting a hedge. Even in full sun it took 3 or 4 lots of close spraying to kill everything off.But it's better than buying the stuff in the garden centres I guess. And the choice for consumers is limited. So...

My never ending weed problem was getting me down. Continual strimming, cleared a path along my back fence, but not for long, and within a week it was just the same. So I thought I might try spraying the boundary with weedkiller. I picked Rootblast from the Bolo reviews, and I'm so glad I did. I followed the mixing instructions and was surprised at how small a quantity I needed to complete the task. There seemed so little Rootblast to the 5 litres of water to fill my sprayer. I was even more suprised at how much area this 5 litres covered, and after going over the area twice, there was also enough to spray my gravel drive. I didn't think it was up to much initially as after 5 days it looked just as green as it did before, but the picture shows it after 18 days. Everything dead. I only used a tiny quantity, so its going to last forever.
