5.0 out of 5 stars Neat little lights
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } These little lights are so easy to use, and with the USB chargers I just plug them into my laptop while I'm writing emails or something. Then suddenly they are ready. They glow with a red light when charging and that goes out when they have a full charge.I have included a photo of them on my kitchen window sill in an otherwise totally dark room, so you all can see what level of brightness they have, and they do add a nice light without it being too harsh.(I am using some old glass shades to cover them in the photo, which were left over from old broken lamps. That shades the light slightly and stops it being too dazzling for the eyes.) Plus the glass shades look nice. The only slight downside is the charge doesn't last for a long time on very bright setting. I had the lights on this evening while cooking, maybe for an hour in total, then on and off briefly a few times in the evening, and they both did need to be re-charged just after I took that photo as they weren't shining as brightly as they were at first. But no problem. I just plugged both of them into my laptop while I mess around before going to bed.EDIT.....I thought one of the lights had failed as it refused to fully charge to a bright light. I realised I'd made a mistake, and somehow had managed to activate the dimming feature (long press on the on/off switch) As soon as I gave it another long press, the light came on fully. So beware because that can happen, and you might think the light is not working properly.
4.0 out of 5 stars Quality lights - we used ours in the rear of the car - excellent results!
Our car does not have a rear light so for getting the children in the back over winter was a real struggle with available light - or lack thereof!I did look into several lights but these look like a good solution. I don't need motion sensing since they will be on all the time when you are in the car so these fit the bill. The plastic and overall finish is of very high quality. The on button is a touch sensitive variety so no actual physical button with any click. It just senses your finger touching it.The light is very lightweight which is ideal for sticking them upside down on ceilings etc. The battery might be fairly small so we will see how often they need charging. They state 120 hours max run time before a charge is required. The box contains 2 lights, 2 charging cables (micro USB) and 4 x 3M sticky pads on metal discs. It is nice they give you 2 spare 3M pads should you make a mistake or wish to relocate the light to a few different places. One of ours has already fallen off the plastic pillar and I did notice it wasn't very sticky so perhaps that is why you get spares. When they do stick though they should have no trouble holding the lights up.The magnet is strong enough to hold the lights at a vertical angle where we have them. We attached to the plastic on the B pillars. Will they hold??!With a simple touch of the button we now have amazing light in the rear seats. You have to remember to turn them off of course. The light projected is fantastic though. On the highest setting these really are super bright. The defusing front cover does a good job of evening out the light from the LED's but you can make out the 6 individual lights despite how the pictures look. They are a cool white as apposed to a warm white if that is important to you.On pressing and holding your finger on the light will reduce light to the lowest setting and it will remember this setting the next time you switch the light on.You can do the same again to bring the light back to full brightness of course. We've already had one drop on a tarmac floor but thankfully it has survived ok with just a scratch - it still works fine so they are reasonably robust.Charging is super easy - everyone has micro USB chargers. They don't take long to charge and show a red light when charging too.It is a great idea to have a rechargeable battery within rather than having to keep replacing batteries when they run down. This also keeps the weight of the lights down too.Overall, great lights with superb illumination, even at a lower setting. Recommended!Edit: The 3M stickers which come with these lights are no good unless you are sticking them to wood or something very smooth. I find that for use in the car these are simply not good enough for sticking so I will need to find an alternative solution.
5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant product
I love these lights! They’re so lovely unobtrusive and modern looking plus they last for a good while on one charge. I love the simple switch on them and that they’re dimmable too which is a really great feature. I have used them to light my selenite lamp rather than use the plug lamp it came with as this is a cool white light which is another great feature that you can choose the colour. I also used it in my ribbon lamp as I didn’t like how you could see the wire. It spoilt the effect of the lamp plus it was too bright. but this lights it up perfectly ! They are so handy to place around your space and they look really nice too. I’m going to purchase more of them. I would definitely recommend.
3.0 out of 5 stars Convenient but flawed
They look good, easy to use and relatively bright... However, the battery does not last long. The adhesive used to hold the magnets up has already lost its adhesion after 3 days.If you want a hand held torch that's lightweight, it's great but that's about it unfortunately.
5.0 out of 5 stars Super useful, easy to install
We're using an old airing cupboard as an extra wardrobe so it's pretty dark in there. These are the perfect solution. The light is really bright, and as they're really lightweight the magnetic fixing works really well. I also like that they are rechargeable rather than using batteries. Only slight criticism is that the touch-sensitive "on" button is a bit tricky to see in the dark. You'll need to make sure you refit it facing forward when you remove the light to recharge. Very minor issue, overall a great product.
5.0 out of 5 stars Handy bed side wall light
The media could not be loaded. Fab little bed side lights. They are usb charged and last weeks before needing a charge…obviously this depends how much you are using them but even with heavy usage, it is impressive how long they last. Charge in roughly less than an hour.Touch turns rhe brightness up, down or on and off. It remembers the last brightness/dimness it was set to and turns on at that intensity. So so handy and the sticky magnet stays stuck, it does not drop off accidentally. Comes with an extra set of sticky magnets for the wall too.Bargain for the price and really do last.Easy to use with the touch button, easy to charge.
1.0 out of 5 stars RUBBISH save your money
These are not good at all, save your money they have just stopped working and no amount of charging is making any difference. They also went really dim very quickly but as I've been so busy working I've just missed the return window. They are really rubbish, SAVE YOU CASH DO NOT BUY
still have these years later and finally came to review
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } they do what you want them to do. they last decently long and they are bright and the button is like touch sensitive which is cool and you can set the dim modes on the light so its not so bright. THe only problem i have with them is sometimes the charger cord that comes with it doesnt work so i had to use a charger cord that i own from something else. but still for the price these are cool to have. i keep mine now just attached to my electrical pannel so if ever an outage i have the light there ready to go. I did use these lights when I had NO LIGHTS in my house for like a week while electricians were working. and they worked well.
