I am very pleased with this product!It's perfect for cold days as the material is thick and soft, however not too thick which means that you won't overheat! I was worried that the material would rub against my face and cause soreness (as I have sensitive skin) but I was pleasantly surprised! The material stays in place and doesn't cause me any irritation. The hood is large with room, which I found pleasant as is can be a loose fit or you can tighten it with the strings. The part that covers your face is a breathable material, but I found that it's a little looser than I would have preferred.The product itself is very versatile. You can wear it with or without a hood, and the part that covers your face can be pulled down. This is very helpful as it can be adjusted to suit the temperature.I find that this item is perfect for wearing around the house or when I am taking a nap, yet it can be worn easily outside. I ordered the black one and I find that this blends well with a lot of my clothes. I am definitely impressed with this as I do not want any attention drawn to me, and the subtlety of this product allows me to stay incognito throughout the day!I received this product at a discount in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

I enjoy clothes made from nice soft fleece and this balaclava is made of a very thick fleece. I ordered black colour as that seems to go with most of my clothes. I wanted to wear it for few days before writing a review.If you need something to keep you warm this is it - The drawstring round the face area will pull tight so this keeps wind and rain away totally and the nice extension of the neck part covered face half way - I put it on so only my eyes were showing and it was very warm. I loved the feel of it on my neck - really warm.It seems to be rather big in size - it's a shame there is no choice in sizes. I would definitely recommend it for someone with larger head hence 4 stars instead of 5 as my head seems small. It's ok if you like your clothes fitting loose.I've also used it to sleep in it - I've been looking for a sleep hat and when this fits so loosely and comfortably I thought I try and I must admit it was lovely - something about being surrounded by warmth all over seems to work wonder for my sleep. Apparently we loose lots of heat through out head - I remember watching old movies with people wearing funny hats for sleeping and it actually works.I got a slight discount in return for an honest an unbiased review.

When not using on head I pull down around neck to use as a snood when it is on my head I am able to pull up the retractable mouth cover to show full face. Very warm and adaptable price of head wear fully recommended.

Cozy and Warm for the PNW Winters - I love it!
PROS AT A GLANCE:Looks amazing, heavy plush fabric, seemingly durable construction, adjustable hood closure (drawstring), large hood size (surprisingly hard to find and THE main selling point for me!), optional face-guard offers additional warmth/protection.CONS AT A GLANCE:Not waterproof. It does run on the roomy side (one size fits all), which is a huge plus to me, but some people might not like that the extra room means the face guard isn't going to be snug against your face, depending on your individual size.MY SELECTED ITEM:BlackFULL REVIEW:I've been browsing balaclavas forever and could never really decide on which one to take because I am incredibly picky and rather vain, when it comes down to it. I didn't want just a complete ski-mask style because, although they're very warm and offer full protection, they aren't quite so versatile when you're walking around in town and have to transition to looking presentable for work. Among other balaclavas closer to this style, the hoods were too tight-fitting around the head, which is not a look that I particularly like. With the Oldelf balaclava, you can have it be close-fitting like that if you like by tightening the drawstring, or you can have the option of leaving the drawstring loose and having a nice, big, roomy hood, which is my usual style preference. It's nice knowing I can go from my style preference to the warmer option easily if needed, without having the warmer (less stylish) option being my only choice.Being a female and not having a giant noggin, I can say that yes, the face guard is a bit loose to allow for different sizes to wear it. I personally don't mind this, and actually prefer it since it looks better (for me) and because when I walk to work when it's storming, I need to be able to then transition to my day job look without a problem, and this means not having all of my face makeup rubbed off by a tight-fitting ski mask or balaclava. I know this isn't going to be the same concern for most people, but for me, those are really huge selling points.Over all, I couldn't be happier with this purchase and will be coming back to buy one for my partner, as well (he has a huge head, so the big hood will be especially nice for him). We live in the Pacific Northwest about 30 minutes from the Canadian border, and while we don't always get huge snowfall here, when we do get a good snow, it's usually a doozy. Even when it's not snowing, our temperatures in the winter drop very low, so something that is versatile and stylish like this is exactly what we need for those bitter cold days. I don't personally mind that this isn't waterproof, since I'd be wearing different gear in a heavy rain anyway, but I figured I should point that out in case someone is looking for a balaclava that can withstand all weather conditions. This will definitely keep you warm and cozy in the winter wind and snow, but it's not going to keep you dry in a rainy downpour.
