5.0 out of 5 stars A good, sturdy cabinet.
For 65 pounds, this is a great cabinet. The instructions certainly could have been clearer, and one of the mounting brackets were slightly bent, though neither of these would be too big of an issue for anyone who has bought something in need of assembly from Bolo before. Once you figure out which parts are which, assembly is easy. The lock creates a tight hold, and fitting the door panel in general is simple enough , thanks to the springloaded hinges which you can release from the inside of the panel. There are also two removable plates on the top and bottom to allow for cables. Would buy again.
4.0 out of 5 stars Okay for the money.
Not bad for the price. Fixings could be a little more heavy duty. Easy to assemble. Okay for light duty installations.
5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to assemble, bit flimsy but good for the price
Pretty easy to assemble and just about sturdy enough for my needs.I'm using it to house a 3D printer. It does seem very flimsy compared to every other wall cabinet I've ever used for housing network equipment or servers. For the price though, don't think you'd find better!
3.0 out of 5 stars Good cabinets but needs shelves for anything weighty
It looks nice and the design is quite good but I can only give 3 stars as the internal brackets to mount equipment to are not think enough and bend under the weight of a switch so the rear droops. I was going to install a NAS but was uncomfortable with this so ended up adding shelving.
5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding Flatpack
My 4u cabinet has served me well over the years and due to upgrading my equipment needed something bigger. So started to look for a suitable 12u cabinet to fit under or next to my desk. Cost was an important factor and as this was self assemble, saved a few quid.I was surprised at how small the box was when it was delivered, but the contents was as expected. I have read other reviews about missing screws and actually thought I was going to suffer the same fate, but quickly found the other bag in the box and set about building. I had already thought about pop riveting 16 of the fixings had this been the case. Most of the parts are wrapped in cling film but in all the finish of the metal parts is what I would expect from pre built cabinets. Even included cage nut and bolts, which I have used to mount two brackets to provide extra support to the 1u shelf purchased separately which will hold an HP Gen8 Microserver and Jetway JBC365 which runs Untangle.Instructions are very easy to follow, cabinet was built in about 15 minutes with a manual screwdriver. The removable side panels and door fitted nicely and there is ample room inside to mount a 6 way PDU in the rear. I am also going to make use of the 120mm fan cutout, though looking for a silent USB powered fan. Cable entry will either be via the bottom by raising the cabinet from the floor, or not using the rear panel.I just need a suitable amount of downtime to complete the installation.
1.0 out of 5 stars No fixing points for rails
Don’t know how to message seller, worst instructions that I’ve ever came across, can you please send me better instructions as to how to fix the rails. The image in the advert is not the same as what was delivered also ?
2.0 out of 5 stars Don’t bother
Bought this rack to go in my loft. Assembly ok but as others have said instructions are useless. Once assembled it looks ok. Mounted in my UniFi network switch and the mounting rails are bending. They are made from barely 1mm metal and are just not up to the job. My switch is at a terrible angle and I have to make some kind of rear support. I am only mounting in 1 device so I can do something with it but tbh I should have just bought a better made rack. It’s going in loft otherwise I would have returned it. I might change the mounting rails for standard 2mm thick ones at a later stage. It’s all fixable but will end up costing more than if I just bought a decent one to start with
5.0 out of 5 stars Good value
Assembled easily enough and is quite sturdyGood value
security and ease of installation
This was an easy build and installation. I have to purchase a couple of more this year, and I would re-purchase this item. It is sturdy for the lightweight build.
It's great to me!
I decided to get this 9U rack cabinet with some cautious optimism, because of some of the previous reviewers. The bottom line is simply, I’m glad I decided to grab it.One of the reasons I’m glad I grabbed this cabinet is the ease of assembly. You simply start by attaching the two front corners and the two rear corners (pay attention to illustration) to the base with two of the small screws per piece. After this, the top goes on the same exact way, with two small screws per corner bracket. Next is attaching the four pieces to which your equipment will mount, a.k.a, the racks, to the top and bottom of the cabinet with just two screws per piece. There are three different holes to mount the racks in which you can choose depending on the depth into the cabinet you need. After this, the back wall goes on via 6 screws, then the front glass door goes in via two rods on springs, which requires a simple pull/push from the angled pin on the backside of the door/inside of the door, depending on perspective. *Note, I didn’t understand what it meant by putting an “isolation column at the right bottom”, which I assume was referring to the white plastic/nylon spacer. There doesn’t appear to be a problem without whatever it means. Also, there are four screw holes that weren’t mentioned in the instructions that are located in each corner of the front. If the cabinet is out of square, the door won’t shut correctly, but getting the cabinet square and then adding a screw will set its position. Then just add the other screws to keep it locked in position. It’s actually quite sturdy once everything is put together. I’m not sure why other reviewers had negative experiences, as so far, everything is great. All I can say is I recommend it, and haven’t found any negatives worth noting. I’m happy as can be with it.
Nice, cheap rack.
This was a cheap wall mounted rack, pretty easy to put together. It took me about 10 minutes to assemble. It is vented and has a punchout in the bottom of the rack. Has a spot to install a cooling fan (not included) in the top of the unit. Nice glass door with a lock.I was installing a Cisco 24 port network switch in this rack and the rail that you mount the rack mounts of the switch were not sturdy enough for the Cisco switch. The rail bends, and allows the switch to sag in the back. This would have been nice to know before i purchased the unit.
Lightweight server for lightweight equipment.
This is a lightweight server rack for lightweight equipment like networking equipment and lightweight servers and such. After everything is setup, it is sturdy and would be a good rack to hold lightweight rackmount gear.Don't expect to comfortably put heavy servers in here though. It is made out of lightweight materials and the back panel is so lightweight that it makes boing boing sound just holding it. My server is 2-3 inches too long to even fit in here. It's meant to be wall mounted and so the bottom is wobbly as well and doesn't have feet. There are no handles to hold it and lift the rack so just only put lightweight stuff in there.I didn't see any place to route wires into the rack. I'm not sure if the rectangle punch outs were for that or not.The front door also should remain closed mostly. I would not suggest trying to use with the glass door open because the glass door will be flopping around and don't want a free swinging glass panel in your room.Installation does take a bit of time because the instructions are not clear. The first step is to screw all the four posts into the top and bottom and the rest becomes obvious. I was confused about which direction the posts were supposed to face. I figured out that the lips on the pillars face inwards. There are extra holes on the rear pillars and so that was causing the confusion. The white "isolation column" which is just a plastic spacer did not make sense on where to put. I put it on the left against the instructions and it works but now I have to lock the door otherwise it will slide open. For installation, please take out our most comfortable screwdriver. The screws are self-tapping screws and require some force to push through. Perhaps a electric drill would make things easier but I didn't try. I did taking a screw out and putting it back and that was fine and it was able to tighten at the last turn.Overall, this is a very lightweight rack. It is perfect for storing and organizing lightweight rack mount gear but not for heavy duty stuff.
