The blade is a bit thicker than my cheaper snips but it cuts far better and is less prone to being chipped.

This is a good small plastic cutter designed by the Army Painter team for a specific series of jobs probably most commonly the removal of plastic molding frame from the model to be painted. Most complex "minis" are multipart for different posing, weapon types etc so starting with accurate removal is a good preparation to start the process. Of course most painters will probably continue refinement to "mold lines" and other irregularities but again these cutter are a good start, not least because of the angled blades.There are other good products out there an as usual price may be the deciding factor in the end but they seem well up to the job.

really good, sturdy, sharp, nice narrow blade to fit between sprue items.Would have given 5 stars but unlike secateurs or other similar tools this has no clip to hold it closed, so the spring holds it wide open. It does come with a plastic cap you can put over the tip which holds it closed, but I would prefer a built in clip. a minor issue though!

gets right into the spru on airfix / revell plastic models , also use it for thin wire cutting definatly recommend .

A good tool for cutting sprues and clearing plastic supports from 3D printed plastic and resin models. The snip is low, but still need a small amount of sanding to get a clean model.

I bought this tool as an alternative to some more expensive ones. At the same time, I didn't want to go with very cheap ones who can't be trusted. It actually is very comfortable to use, and looks great quality.

Fit great and stay sharpe
I started off with a cheap set from a starter kit. Cutters are cutters right? I bought these just to see. Worth every penny, much less filing off or worrying about smashing edges. I can get much closer to the models and the cuts are much cleaner and sharper. The handle feels solid and fits nice. Do wish I wouldn't have waited 4 years to upgrade to a nicer set.

Not durable
It worked well at first, then began leaking a lot of oil. I did not feel this was worth a bad review. Now however, the spring has snapped after 2 months of use (11 model kits). It is now mostly worthless as the blades stay stuck closed after a cut and pulling them away can cause scratching.

This is a good small plastic cutter designed by the Army Painter team for a specific series of jobs probably most commonly the removal of plastic molding frame from the model to be painted. Of course most painters will probably continue refinement to "mold lines" and other irregularities but again these cutter are a good start, not least because of the angled blades.There are other good products out there an as usual price may be the deciding factor in the end but they seem well up to the job.
