These work very well. In the photo you see the results of a control test, on the left the results of a vinegar (acid) solution and on the right a baking soda (alkaline) solution. The colour of the strips clearly indicates accurate pH measurement against the provided reference. I used these for a soil test to determine adding lime to tomatoe potting mix. They displayed a neutral result tested with the soil which looked the same colour as the testing paper but just wet. I think this result is why some people think it doesn't work. Would recommend over the cheaper options found on Bolo. Shipped quickly, accurately and in good condition. Will buy again.

So I’ve created my plant feed for my Peace Lily; using the leaves that eventually die off (as they do after so long each)So cutting the leaves & stems into tiny pieces; putting into a jar with plant feed pellets & tap water (and adding new dead leaves as & when)All in all my homemade plant feed is to reuse the last nutrients etc in the leavesThat said I didn’t want to poison my plant with this experimental homemade plant feed mix (Such as due to the fluoride in tap water etc)So bought these strips to ensure my homemade plant feed is neutral on the ph scaleIt registered as an 8 (1 above neutral 7) so overall happy (would probably use distilled water in my next feed batch etc instead of tap water)That’s the reasoning for these ph stripsThank you

The colours on the wheel are not particularly specific, going in increments of 1, so if you need to be precise in the pH reading these are not for you. Also, even when putting the strip next to the wheel to compare the colours it's still hard to tell if it's one or the other.If what you need is an estimate of the pH these will do fine, if you need to know a precise number, look somewhere else

I tested the strip with few liquids and it never changed colour. Furthermore, the two rolls came in two boxes with no instructions whatsoever. The item was quite cheap but it was wasted money anyways

What I didn’t like was no instructions and quality doesn’t look as good as I thought it would be so I am a little disappointed,haven’t used yet but will do soon along with a more quality test see how they compare.
