Its a jam jar with a coated lid, works perfectly fine. I put chilli jam inside and it does'nt fall out. However the lids are not stacking lids so they tend to fall off if you try putting one jar on top of the other.

I was looking for a low cost / good value, small and attractive jar for making jams and these fitted the task perfectly.The low cost element was important for us as, combined with ingredients, we wanted to maximise the amount of money we could raise for our charity from the sales profits and whilst collecting and reusing other jars was an option that didn’t give the consistency of presentation we wanted to make.Jars all arrived safely in a segmented cardboard box. No problems during washing and sterilisation in the oven. Found that the Lids, which also have a inner airtight membrane seal surface, need a little push before twisting on, but other than that work well.So, I felt good quality at a good price - Chutneys next !
