GlucoRx' S 'HCT' Meter system specifically for type 1 diabetics is a quality, unique multipara meter machine with Haematocrits correction technology, that provides a complete health check by measuring blood glucose levels, ketone, and Haematocrits. More than just a blood sugar monitor. GlucoRx HCT glucose test strips use advanced GDH-FAD enzyme technology with 2+2 (AC and DC) bio signal. The AC signal works to provide the Haematocrits result, and DC calculates glucose. The meter then corrects the glucose level according to the Haematocrits value for enhanced accuracy in self-management of diabetes. The GlucoRx HCT meter exceeds the system accuracy requirements of latest ISO 15197: 2015 guidelines. The control Solution test (QC) on this meter is auto-tagged.

Bought this for work as being in the NHS/nurse they are thin on the ground in my clinic!!! Have to guard it with my life as they also walk :) but great that I have my own that's compatible with our protocols. Pity it has come to this but at the price it was very reasonable and tax deductible. I've used these for some time now and can recommend them for ease of use and accuracy.

Why did you choose this product over others?:I am very happy with this very versatile machine, my only niggle is you need to make sure you have a bigger sample of blood than most other monitors require . Insufficient volume of blood will result in a failure and a waist of a test strip. The upside for is it also produces a HCT reading, that is the percentage of your blood which is made up of red blood cells which is handy when you have Polycythaemia. Luckily I haven’t had to use it as to test for ketones yet, fingers crossed.

My last GlucoRX device purchase was unfortunately a let down due to poor accuracy and range. This however was the only ketone device I could afford so I took the plungeI compared some sugar readings with my Accu Chek Performa Nano device, and they both matched very well. I can't speak for the accuracy of the ketone readings, without a comparison, but for general use this device is ideal!
