I was pretty tired when I cooked this. It took me a shocking amount of time to find out how much water to add. That detail could be more prominent on the package. I must have read it 5 times fruitlessly before my buddy pointed it out.The flavour is OK, relatively bland but then it is chicken, rice and veg.The pieces were all quite small which I assume is to ensure that the food is heated evenly but it meant that the food was also bland in terms of mouth feel.The volume of food you have to eat to get the rated 800KCals is huge. Pro, it is a filling meal. Con, eating it felt like an endurance event.I kept eating and eating and the bag never seems to empty, when I started eating the food was too hot to eat and when I finally managed to finish it it had gone cold and my face was tired.You absolutely must season this yourself, salt, pepper, hotsauce, maybe add some peanut oil to bump up the calories without increasing the bulk.Compared to what is, in my opinion, the gold standard of dehydrated food [The Blå Band stuff from Germany] this gets a 2.
