Currently trying out different matcha powder products and experimenting with making matcha lattes every morning. I found this one to have quite a strong flavour - it's much more 'potent' than Mighty Matcha. I've had to use half the amount I normally used because of how strong it is. This is also cheaper than Mighty Matcha, so it works out to be much better value for money.

I bought this trying to save some pennies from my normal brand. The picture shows bright green matcha, which is always a good sign, but as soon as i opened the package, the color and smell hit me. The color is more of a gray brown and the flavor is so acrid and slightly mushroomy that it's going in the bin. The texture doesn't disperse well in liquid, so when you drink it you get clumps of nastiness. I guess if you find a good matcha, you just don't deviate from it.

Someone else has already posted a photo.According to the label, this is 70.7% carbs, of which 35.5% sugar. This isn't powdered green tea - this is a tea mix containing green tea and a lot of something else. That something else isn't declared on the packaging (at least, not in English).This is outrageous and it goes right back!There's also a faded date printed on the front which is exactly one year earlier than the best by date on the label. Apparently, this lasts at best 6 months!

I’m not a matcha expert but have been drinking it long enough to know it shouldn’t taste like this. It’s got a strange flavour, not bitter, but definitely not what I’m used to. I thought I’d try it as it’s cheaper than my usual brand - that’ll teach me! I do believe with this type of product that you get what you pay for. I’m not even going to finish it, I’ll have to bin it and go back to my usual brand.
