This plastic pill dispenser organises your medication by day and by time of day so you can keep track of your dosage. It can be hooked on your wall or kept on the kitchen table. The modules are clearly marked with the days of the week and each compartment is annotated with the time of day in bold, easy to read writing and symbols. Each of the four compartments in each module can contain up to 15 capsules. They are marked with the time of day and they open with a simple, smooth sliding motion - easy to handle even if you suffer from pain and reduced dexterity. The sliders move in two directions; one way reveals the three daytime compartments and the other, just the night time compartment. This is designed to help avoid confusion and over dosage during the night. When one day is over simply slot it into the top of the unit and the next day will automatically become accessible.

Remove the pill dispenser from its packaging. Place a pill module in the dispenser, ensuring it is marked with the current day of the week. Load up to 15 capsules in each of the four compartments, which are marked with the times of day (morning, noon, evening, night). To switch to the next day, slot the current day's module into the top of the unit and the next day's module will become accessible. The sliders for each compartment move in two directions, one revealing the daytime compartments and the other, just the night time compartment, to avoid confusion and overdose during the night.

I was finding it confusing trying to remember what I'd taken when, so spent some time researching pill boxes, aka dossette boxes (with all manner of spelling variations!)Of everything I looked at, this was clearly the best, for my needs at least. It's compact, neat, well made and well thought out. Standing vertically it also takes up very little shelf space in my kitchen. The product image shows the daily tray loaded the wrong way up. How it works is you slide out today's tray from the bottom and lay it on the cleverly designed tray on top, for use during the day. At the end of the day you slide the empty box in the top slot. The tray for tomorrow has already dropped into position ready for the morning. Clever!Other designs can be big and clunky, and tend to have fragile hinged lids on the compartments, which tend to either ping open by themselves or fall off. This one has a sliding lid to each tray, so is both more durable and more practical. They can be slid open one handed if needs be, too.If you need to take your pills with you during the day, the ability to carry a small daily tray and not the entire weekly stash is a real bonus. The trays are very easy to pocket, being roughly the size of one and a half Tictac boxes, if that's a helpful measure to you. The trays have four labelled compartments each and from my experience are large enough to carry up to eight small pills, three really huge ones, or a mixture in between.This design of box is generic, and the same product is sold under different brand names here on Bolo. At the time I bought mine, Taylor & Brown were by far the best value, so they got my order. I bought a different pill box which was much more complicated that tnis. Not surprisingy it didn't last! I had another box, very similar to this one, which I used for travelling. I managed to lose that. So I bought this to replace both. It is very secure, compact and, importantly, offered at a very reasonable price.

I have tried several differnt designs and this one is either better or cheaper than the others (in most cases both, at least so far) it is easy to use, pretty durable and, unlike several othes won't accidentlly open in your pocket and empty out the tablets. the only drawbacks I have found are: 1)The markings for time of day will wear off eventually (this is my second of thius design. it took about a year) as they are on the exposed side of the plastic. The one for the day of the weekis is on the interior part and is protected. 2) It is a little larger than i actually need for the 7 tablets i typicall take daily which can result in the tablets rattling around and potentially knocking off some of the coating. I only notice this when i move around a lot though and could probably be solved by putting a tiny bit of padding in the compartments. I opted for getting a slightly smaller design for use only when travelling. I use this one for day to days usage as it is less fiddly than the travel one.

The top snapped off within a week of owning this.The individual tablet holders themselves are ok. They do crack quite easily though, that said, I do chuck them in my bag when I'm cycling to work so they're probably being bashed about in there.
