Rancid
Received two of these and both had an expiration date of July 2025. Both were rancid. Unfortunately I did not open them until my return window had closed.Check the expiration date and if with a month of expiration, return them.
My dog loves all but the twists
My 20lb Cavachon loves most of these! They are a decent size and thickness to keep him entertained. They last longer than other chew bones we have tried - like a day or two. We go through a routine where he smells 3-5 sticks before picking the one he likes 🤦♀️. He does not like the tripe twists and we always end up with those last. He will eat them when there are no other options. I did finally realize that they offer options without the twists. So we have that on subscribe & save.
The Only Chews my Chiweenie Will Eat
It goes without saying, these natural chews can be a little smelly, but if stored properly they won't stink up your house. My Chiweenie has always been super picky when it comes to chews of any kind but after I discovered her love of the NatureGnaws Beef Pizzles, I took the risk and bought her the variety pack which she thankfully enjoys just as much! Love that these are natural and packaged in the USA and that the company donates chews to rescue shelters!
Tendons were great for my 14 wk old puppy
These have been great. I have a Goldendoodle puppy and at 14 weeks old I'm careful not to give him anything that's going to come apart. I got him some other puppy chews that were specifically meant for his age, but they came apart and he barfed up chunks (in the middle of the night of course). He obviously needs to chew so badly so I was looking for something else since he's just not that into chewing his toys for very long. The tendons in this bag are the best. He goes to town on those and it keeps him busy for at least an hour or more. I stick around when he has one just to supervise, and he has never bitten off a piece or barfed anything up. The other chews in the bag haven't given me any issues either they just don't last nearly as long. Side note: because these are more "primal", he gets food protective in a way he doesn't over anything else. So while he has one I have to be careful to constantly work with him so he does not growl when the kids pet him or try to take it away. Just be aware- you don't want your dog to get into any bad habits!
Small Dog mostly loves
I would give them five stars, but some of them are still a little too big for a small dog. I have a picky 11-year-old dog. She gets jealous of my bigger dog when he gets chews. She is missing teeth on one side and cannot do many long-time chews. She likes these. She gets excited when I pick up the bag. That does not happen with most goodies. However, two of them in the container she still found to be too big for her and would not touch.
